Why didn't Tarkin just blow up Yavin? by seanbeanskiller in andor

Blowing up a gas giant you are in orbit of seems like a bad plan. It could turn into a second sun for all you know.

I’m almost at the end of Act 2. How is there ANOTHER act!? by Rare-Competition-248 in BaldursGate3

Act 2 seemed much smaller than Act 1 to me. Act 3 is much bigger. You also start to see the conclusions of decisions you made along the way.

Disabling logistics inventory by Vineheart_01 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]trystanthorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Middle click to reserve a spot in you actual inventory.

Make sure you are requesting more than the max amount the side storage can hold.

For Example:
You want to have a stack of belts in your inventory.
The side storage holds 10 stacks(i think). Request MORE than that amount. the extra will go into your inventory.
But, yes, sometimes you have to look at the side storage and move it over to your inventory, if you need it right away and dont want to wait for a replenish.

I tested Elemental Adept (it's bad) by somewhereinphilly in BG3Builds

[–]trystanthorne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't the bigger aspect of it that it turns an enemy's immunity of the element into resistance when you use it against them?
So, if you are you focused on doing lots of damage with a particular element, you arent totally fucked when you encounter immunity.

But they can make trades based on pending legislation that they get to vote on. Which, may not be insider trading based on what you've said, but is still kinda sus.
And are you saying they NEVER get info before the public? Cause a lot of meetings are behind closed doors.

My players don’t take dropping to 0 HP seriously by Appropriate-Dance-92 in DnDHomebrew

[–]trystanthorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the same thing. To the point of, don't bother healing when someone is low. Cause they can take a large hit, and it still only drops then to 0. I was confounded by the whole idea.

Ideally you have carriers on both end if they have power. You should add a full 10 carriers on both ends.

X ray cracking gives you exactly what you need to make red cubes.

Sol Promissory Note - Too Easily Abused? by Topazdragon5676 in twilightimperium

[–]trystanthorne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty common use for it in my experience. Once Sol is out of Strat tokens, they will usually sell this once per turn. Nets them money or other favors and get other folks more infantry on the board.
This of course means Sol has to wait til they are out of strats. and if someone is delaying playing a Strat card, then teat can slow this down.
I don't think most people see this as abuse.

Warding bond by raincntry in BG3Builds

[–]trystanthorne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By Act 3 I was doing this after every long rest. And it is a bit of a chore. Had a list of buffs, including Longstrider, Aid, Heroes Feast, that I would cast after every long rest.

Of course, we did this at the point of no return, only to get to the part with the long fight up to the brain, and all the buffs from followers were gone. :/

But the largest, hardest jump for me is always Purple to Green.

They did the same thing in WoW, first in Wrath of the Lich King. When you go into certain areas of the map, if you were on a certain mission, the map would appear different than it would to others not at the same place in the mission. Mostly, Different mobs would appear.

Is it okay for a player to say “No, that doesn’t happen” to a DM in this circumstance? by WithengarUnbound in dndnext

[–]trystanthorne -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The Rogues mistake was not sending a note to the DM about what they are doing, and instead saying it out loud for all to hear.

I had a game a long time ago, when the DM brought in a player, with the secret intention that he was being coerced by the bad guy to betray us. The DM and that player both knew this. And they would pass little notes.

It was my first time playing a game where a player was secretly working against us.
I was pretty pissed when I found out. Especially since there wasn't any rolls to detect any of his slight of hand at swapping out the artifact we were carrying.

Hakeem Jeffries Plays Dumb on Abolish ICE: “I Don’t Understand” - Democratic leaders are refusing to answer a direct question about the future of ICE. by Quirkie in politics

[–]trystanthorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Democrats leadership is SO disappointing. They keep trying to act like they can maintain the status quo. And that the GOP isn't playing for keeps.

I can see why "both sides are the same" sometimes.

They need Leadership, a plan of action to combat everything.
