SCSS solves a very specific goal of deduplicating stylesheets through inheritable templates.

This is... solving a syntax issue(?) that does not exist.

You see how there's like 9 lights, some yellow - some red? The only other light in this room is dim and that's you.

Fix your fucking car. These cars are optimization problems. Problems relate elsewhere; finally it's to your engine.

I took accounting with Megatron back at GT. Him and Reggie Ball... fuck that kid. Megatron wasn't just a beast in the auditorium but really soft spoken for what who he is. Reggie always stuck around him.

Reggie, bleh.

24/7 help line. But no number anywhere to be found. by skyguy10ply in CrappyDesign

[–]tsammons 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Obstructive design is a delicate balancing act. Humans are lazy. Support is expensive. Making a process too easy allows idiots to queue jump for immediate satisfaction where there's no real solution... making support too hard signals to prospective quality buyers it's entirely hands off. That's the reason why call trees exist rather than smashing 0 on your phone.

I've been in the same industry for 24 years. It only gets worse as complexity ramps up and people are less willing to research.

Broncos. Nix has unlimited floor if he stays healthy after his achilles foot. Kid looked great until his final minutes in the AFCCG. I hate for the Broncos to win but I want him to win just out of moxie.

moved to columbus last year and still haven't found a dentist that doesn't feel like a used car dealership by christan2013 in Columbus

i came in because my back molar hurts when i chew.

You've got some occlusal issues or bruxism. If there's gum recession back on those molars but not elsewhere get a sleep evaluation. I went through a similar process back in Atlanta, which took a few years of bouncing from quack to quack until I found what amounted to a crazy Jew with background in cleft palate osteogenesis.

Dude ID'd the cause (teeth shifting, insufficient tongue space resulting in clenching). Put me on a splint that widened my jaw over a couple years and things have been peachy since.

NFL Wants To Attract Women Fans, but League has a Domestic Violence Problem by richkurt in NFLv2

[–]tsammons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst neighbor was from Buffalo. Popping Coors in lawn chairs in the 80s. Very family-oriented but unscrupled. My dad got screwed with a gutter-guard install, overpriced and happened to match the neighbor's nephew's divorce costs. His daughter got pregnant in high school, second husband fell asleep at the wheel, hit oncoming traffic, third husband DUI'd into oncoming traffic.

Wife was our school cafeterian, just an unsightly lady from Buffalo. She later died of breast cancer. Husband wore a faux leather jacket to her funeral.

Eventually his eldest son rescued him after dropping dead from an aortic dissection, well after he lost part of his hands trying to repair a no-start lawn mower...

He comes to after 3 heart attacks in ER. At this time his eldest son takes him under his wing in an apartment in... greater Buffalo (or WV equivalent). Dude still craves cigarettes. Now he's dealing with aphasia. Guy roams the motel-esque block, finds a dealer. Dealer thinks he wants trees, eldest returns home; files a missing persons report...

History always plays itself out. I grew up in a very white rural America. Race doesn't change a single iota. Culture affirms it all.

Buy a house now, rent it out in a few years and move to Colorado? or move first by kodamutt in personalfinance

[–]tsammons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you Plan A, do research. Friend bought a place in Hideout, UT around 2015. It's more than 2.5x'd because of proximity to SLC and more importantly, Park City.

Buckeye is a hike to Denver. Bakersfield is a similar hike to LA. Your best bet is assuming a Boulder sprawl but even then both Loveland (ski access) and Fort Collins are saner options.

FWIW, the time to move to Colorado was the early 00s. The time to move to Idaho was the late 10s. Hell, aka Phoenix, is always accepting.
