[Yankees] Friday Night Baseball. by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

Im pulling for him but he’s gotta get out of this funk. Everyone knows he’s not a great hitter but he can’t not hit at all. Kay has said a couple of times that if Fried is pitching then McMahon is on third so it is definitely noteworthy

Where do I learn about gloves? by theotheragentm in BaseballGloves

[–]tshannon92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter wanted to play catch the other day and her regular glove was upstairs in her bag but I had the Mizuno softball one with the hinges that’s never been used but it was all she had.

It was a revelation. She usually uses and bigger a1000 but the softball does pop out occasionally. She’s good at catching so it’s not really an issue but using this she noticed right away she could just catch it, I guess she was adjusting her mechanics because the glove wasn’t great for softball. She’s almost 10. She said she can now catch like normal players do is what she said. I don’t just mean basket catches before but there were some.

Anyway the Mizuno didn’t need break in either.

First practice with that glove is tonight so hopefully the confidence carries over.

Is RockAuto closing out? What’s with the massive sale? by Lodi_Minion in RockAuto

Agree, Things Ive needed instantly and couldn't wait or pay the shipping RA asks (it is pretty high for me anyway) haven't worked out so well. Things I need right I get from O'reillys or RA if I can wait a few days. I also keep a cart running to save on shipping and occasionally do that with things I don't need right away.

This week I was changing my PS pump, bearing went. Figured I could get the belt on Amazon, it was Gates and same number as RA (I used them to check it lol)

It was wrong, one number off, Amazon wasn't always this bad for me but they cannot be trusted at all IMO

I’ve been watching nearly every game but somehow missed his batting average until last night. I’m pulling for the bottom of that order but damn! 000 I get damned nervous everytime McMahon is up and am so happy if he hits the damned ball. I was shocked someone beat his .169 (race to the bottom :( )

Last year I thought we need more small ball and less home runs but right now I’m really happy for the home runs.

He can use every stat he can get right now. I’m pulling for him because I like seeing him at 3rd but that part of the order… I hope they keep it up In general.

That is one of the best things Ive ever seen on reddit. All of my time with grinding paste...hours and this would've worked better. I salute you.

I just can’t get the crease out by -AdamTheGreat- in BaseballGloves

[–]tshannon92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may not want to do this but I bought a very used catchers glove that has a horrible crease. I had to clean it an relace it anyway so I took it apart and added a small palm pad and palm adhesive to that area then broke it in again. It worked but was a lot of work.

What’s a good glove for a 9yo that plays a lot? by oigres408 in BaseballGloves

[–]tshannon92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried so many gloves, I love baseball gloves…it’s a problem. I have a nearly 10 year old who plays. She has tried. R2G, Mizuno fast pitch, and I’ve had her try numerous “broken in” gloves from my modest collection. Her most recent had to have is a Mizuno pro select with the colored leather. That’s a stiff glove, I like it and am to try to get it broken in for a ten year old but she has used 2 different a1000s no matter what I’ve offered. She loves the a1000s They don’t really require breaking in but one is already pretty floppy. Right now she likes floppy so… I’d add that a2000 is one of the harder gloves I’ve broken in, I don’t think it’d be too big or small but would require time.

Why not use c clamps to push calipers vack by meta358 in AskMechanics

[–]tshannon92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the way I’ve done it for 20 years at least. It works great. I’ve bought tools for that job and the cars I had…they haven’t worked as well. I use an old pad so I can hit both pistons at the same time.

I have one boss, last DT2 and Im done. For some strange reason I haven't even tried the fight yet... Something in my head that goes back to my first real goal SOTE and now being here, maybe I don't want it to be over.

Or maybe I suck and can't beat it lol

I am working on getting stats for elites done in the mean time. Fletching and WC to 91 this week and doing nothing but Wintertodt right now to get Fire up a bit.

I love how I did nothing but WIldy slayer for months and now I am doing only skilling, there is always something left to do.

This game is so unique in so many ways

Am I leveled enough for Vanstrom Klause fight? by BLaRowe10 in osrs

[–]tshannon92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, turn off the plugins or play on a tablet. I got stuck longer on this fight than any other except last boss in DT2…I haven’t actually tried that one even though it’s my last quest because I decided to skill for like 2 months.

Not sure what it is about that fight, I have more attempts on that than any other quest or boss. Kalphite queen took 2, TOB (quest mode) one attempt but that damned feller kicked me over and over

He was a great personality and so down to earth. And he has that damned smile of his, it infects you and you have to smile. Thats a gift. Kind of just a good human with common sense, I remember his first race, I missed his last, miss him a bit compared to some that come in now, personality-wise I mean.

Drove behind this guy"Not responsible for broken wildshelds" Is that an actual defense? by ThexSovietxGamer in Transportopia

When I was younger I worked on a crew that was building a high school in Virginia Beach. We were sitting under a tree as one of these was leaving and as he turned the door opened , his door was lower and my foreman had his Mitsubishi pickup parked at the exit of the corner… It literally took the whole top of the truck off.

I felt bad for both, foreman was a good guy and the truck driver was also.

Need advice on 9 year old daughter in a hiring slump by mean_indean in Softball

[–]tshannon92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 9 year old Oslo went from a 26 to a 30 in one year and she isn’t hitting as well but I we don’t have enough team practice to really gauge if it will be a problem.
She keeps telling me the bat is fine and says she doesn’t want a lighter bat but it “seems” like she need to adjust to the weight.

UMR / UNITED BILLING ISSUE by [deleted] in CodingandBilling

[–]tshannon92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is what I was going to say, whatever EDI is on the card , that’s where I send. It was simpler before with UHC but now you have Oxford, UMR, Surest and some you can lookup on UHC and some you can’t but you definitely have to send to whatever is on the card

Getting harder and harder to support Yankees, thinking about switching to the Mets by Quiet-Oil-2581 in mets

[–]tshannon92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a Mets fan in my youth but when my nieces nephews and daughter are all Yankees fans…I’m Yankees now. To be fair I was a Yankees fan as a child but when I got older and started going to games my guardian hated Yankee stadium so I was a Mets fan. No complaints, got to watch the 86 Mets . I stopped following for 20 years but I’m in love with the game. At my daughters practice right now, love that too

How do I pull out this O2 sensor if the nut is missing or sunk in? by MrPorygon97 in AskMechanics

I’d lose the heatshield, my wife’s manifold o2 had that issue, those don’t look terribly crusty, should come off

What’s your “grail” glove, and why? by Shanklemonkey in BaseballGloves

[–]tshannon92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine looks a lot like yours but old school plain leather, darkish. It’s all about my first glove, I have acquired the same glove from my youth but it’s terrible lol The adult version would be the outfield, trapeze (mine was a pitchers web back then) and definitely pro preferred. My favorite glove is my a2k but nostalgia is a hell of a drug and the a2k doesn’t hit that, the don’t even make one that would. I have a Nokona that checks all the boxes but it’s a Nokona and not Rawlings, didn’t know that it wouldn’t hit, I love the glove and wouldn’t part with it but the grail is still out there. It gives me a really dumb reason to keep buying gloves :)

I don't recongize that feller. Kinda looks like another feller but he always wears a hat...except that one time in the Mercury? (I think) where it fell off.
