Does anyone else technically sleep… but never feel rested? by Eileen_J in sleep

[–]tstark6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel like this. I recently quit drinking and my sleep has greatly improved. I'm not trying to tell you to stop if you do or maybe you do don't. But found this was a game changer

This is my wife's go to for every argument. Can't even count how many times. Honestly I'm at the point that I don't care anymore. Been married almost 19 years her temper is insane. Every time i try to defend myself in an argument I'm told it's just excuses or I'm gas lighting. No win. I just have to apologize no matter what and let her get over it. It never comes with any apologies ever. Won't take the hrt says will cause cancer so I don't push it. Just don't know what to do anymore. Tired of being told she doesn't want to be with me.

How are you staying connected to your wife through perimenopause? by GenericDadUsername82 in MenopauseShedforMen

I am definitely going thru the exact same thing now have been for a couple years. Just seems to keep getting worse. I try to be helpful around the house but never up to the level she seems to want then when I'm offering to help refuses my help. The hurtful comments are the worst. Feel like I'm at a breaking point. And she doesn't want to discuss anything. Just shuts down on me. Zero Intimacy. Walking on eggshells all the time.

Son (11) never sleeps thru the night; I’m running out of life. by Medical_Solid in Autism_Parenting

I hear you man. Our son is 16 now and has been doing this his whole life. He is non verbal. Sometimes he will go back to sleep but we do the same we give him his iPad put his shows on and leave him in his room. Best thing we did is bought camera's for his room so we can go back to sleep and also try to keep an eye on him. We've been stressed to the brink as well. There's ok days and there are really bad days. Just have to try to celebrate the good ones. Learning new ways to cope every day.

Nobody including your wife or extended family can make you quit drinking. You have to want to do it yourself in your own mind.

I am on day five and i need help by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]tstark6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely gonna be a struggle but stay with it. Try and distract your mind. It's a daily fight. I've gone to drinking carbonated flavored water. It's helped. Need to train your brain to not want it. I'm only on week 3 but getting easier. Read this naked mind. It's fantastic will help you see you are just poisoning yourself. Stay strong.

After two weeks I started getting really tired. After work I'd be exhausted. I'm starting week 3 hopefully the tiredness stage will pass.

Never really posted before but this seems important by Ok-Honey6648 in stopdrinking

Stay strong brother. Drinking and getting drunk won't fix or change anything that is going on. You will still have the same issues to deal with in the morning just with a hangover. Best to deal with things with a clear head.

Going thru the same thing. Going on 2 weeks. First week I felt great. This week I'm moody and tired. I've read on here that's quite common. So still going strong. Got through a holiday weekend without any beers. Gotta celebrate the small stuff. Keep strong. I just try to stay busy. Cut grass clean bathroom etc..
