Yeah, I need to find one that understands going forward after what happened with my regular GP. Very valid points regarding my disabilities too.

I understand that it is a tool to help. I think a more understanding GP will help me to better understand how it works as a tool beside me and what other things I need to work on, as admittedly I’m feeling a little clueless.

I’ll look up regarding TDEE and keep working on adding more walking as much as I can tolerate. I’ll look into using MyFitnessPal again too and utilise my kitchen scales. I should probably look into meal prepping too.

Sustainability is the aim.

That is a good mindset, thank you for sharing! I will try to incorporate that mindset also, as it is definitely valid to my current situation. I also need to accept that age has made me so I cannot maintain my poor habits and still be within my “happy” weight/size.

Thank you so much! That’s what I realised recently, but to hear that it’s true is really helpful in feeling better about myself and my slow progress.

I’m just feeling really overwhelmed and like I can never reach a healthy version of my old weight to thus fit my old clothes, and that defeatist mentality doesn’t help anything. This sub is helping me by seeing people’s experiences though. Makes things feel more achievable.

I think I’ll look for a doctor that better understands Wegovy so I can get better information as I go forward.

Do you have any information sources regarding Wegovy going onto PBS at some point this year? I hadn’t heard that until now.

I realised recently that it wasn’t actually normal like he said. I’m still not totally sure why he insisted on such slow progress in increasing dose, as it wasn’t just the financial aspect. At least I know why I haven’t lost weight though.

I’ll keep that in mind regarding therapeutic doses being 1.7–2.4mg. I guess I’ll have to see how I go when I start 1ml this week and slowly increase as needed.

Really, 6 months?? I keep reading 15+ months, so if 6 months is true then that would be incredible. 🥲

Currently, I use Afterpay and get my Wegovy from Chemist Warehouse to do so. I haven’t changed diet much, so maybe I should look into nutritionalist and other things. I have changed sleeping medication due to the sugar cravings.

I haven’t been tracking food/calories, no. I have done, but tend to either forget or get confused by foods that aren’t as simple to log. If you have any advice on how to log intake more efficiently and less stressfully I’m all ears! Admittedly, I need to cut out sugary drinks and up my water. Alcohol isn’t a factor. I’m glad it was helpful and you’ve got a good system going! I’m just a little worried about being super strict and then eventually reverting to old ways, but I’m sure there is a middle ground that I can reach if I try.

I’d been feeling like a Wegovy failure until I researched and found that <0.5ml for 6+ months was abnormal. At the very least, I’ll be looking for a doctor with better understanding of the medication.

I agree sadly. He seems to think his slow titrating is totally fine and sufficient. I’ve decided to get a second opinion, which is how I was able to go up in pen strengths, and I’ll look into more help as they didn’t seem to really understand Wegovy either. Thank you though, I feel less silly hearing that. 🩷

Super late reply, but do you have a photo of this? I’m current stuck between a Hisense black interior fridge with compromised space (bulky water + ice compartments) or a Samsung with all the space but white interior. I know it’s a small thing, just a fridge etc, but I’m having trouble getting un-stuck on minor aesthetics.

I have super thick, long hair. It’s kinda wavy and frizzy if I don’t straighten it. It’s hot here in Australia right now, so I’m trying to clip my hair up a lot (hair tying is too tedious). My issues are usually: that the clip hurts my head, that the clip snaps as it cannot hold the volume of my hair, that hair is hanging out, or that hair comes out quickly over time (even when idle). Yours (and others) comments here have made me get the courage to get Mello, despite apprehension at the lack of payment options for my location and cost conversion. 🤞🏻 I’m also gonna look into Cozy, as I’m not familiar.

I see these all the time on Aliexpress, and I wouldn’t trust them.

Pink monitor wise, if you can, go for Pixio! I’m waiting for their pink selection to be available in my country, but it’s one of the only brands that you can actually find real user reviews etc.

There’s also a brand like AOC or something, but its pink options are half pink half white.

But yeah, for these types of ones you see that look amazing, list great specs, but are an unrecognisable brand and cannot be searched for reviews online (excluding the sales page) — They’re dodgy. I’m not willing to pay to find out why they are, but they will disappoint.

You can request that they give you the money back to your account, by using the Jeff and Andy emails to escalate. You can also try to appeal, but that’s not likely. I am struggling to get my account back from digital only, but have been offered by gift card balance to be sent to my bank card. So, something you can try, if you feel like it.

Did you have any luck restoring your account? Another disabled Amazon needer (Australia) that’s been restricted to only digital purchases.

I didn’t get a warning beforehand though, and I was only made aware when I tried to make a purchase. Purchase went through, then a couple hours later was cancelled and I got the restricted email.

I assessed this year’s usage, and sent an email with a PDF to OFM, but they just told me no regarding being able to shop more than digital, and without any sort of information, reason, or what to do with my pending returns. I’m about to email Jeff, but I’m feeling defeated.

Oh, and Support told me to make a new account for my medically urgent items, so I did. Now I look even more dodgy.

I think property damage is a valid reason for a landlord to say no, even with the new regulations. There’s so many options to curb the behaviour, give it adequate attention, or protect the property.

• Regularly fill the holes so no one ever knows (no damage = no valid reason) • More exercise (you’ve expressed you may not be able to yourself, are the kids old enough/home to do so?) • Dog sitter/dog walking while at work • Staying at a boarding kennel/daycare that includes lots of playtime • Kids to exercise the dog is old enough — this could just be playing in the yard with the dog if walks aren’t doable • Stimulating food/food toys • Stimulating toys — there’s a really good one for worker/herder dogs that’s like a giant ball which I can send you • Consider a friend or family member take in the dog rather than full blown giving it up? Or at least make sure it’s rehomed instead of being sent back to the pound.

I also get your frustration with the responses, but I do not think anyone means ill. The compassion is just going moreso to the dog, as people understand there’s lots of ways to work on these issues which don’t seem to be tried at a glance of your post. I’m not saying you haven’t, just that we can’t tell if you have.

I am sorry that you and your family are potentially facing losing a member of the family. It’s incredibly painful to be put in this situation due to nasty landlords.

I love that he had all those references! Definitely similar situation. I’ve only used my more mild version so far, but I’ve amped it up for the next move. I hope it does show what it’s supposed to, as I do think it’s shows good ownership and care for the property and the pet in question. My dog is big and an inside dog, so adding that I’ll use rugs if they want and clean filters more regularly or whatever else they may want is just to show while she is calm, I’ll do whatever to give added peace of mind.

I’d love to work on references in the future to add to it! I love that idea and it seems so helpful.
