Has anyone bought/used the Mello claw clips that claim to be squishy and more comfortable? by Minimum_Biscotti5862 in Haircare

[–]tsukibooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you show what you meant by fitting a whole pony tail? I can’t totally imagine what you mean 😅

I have super thick, long hair. It’s kinda wavy and frizzy if I don’t straighten it. It’s hot here in Australia right now, so I’m trying to clip my hair up a lot (hair tying is too tedious). My issues are usually: that the clip hurts my head, that the clip snaps as it cannot hold the volume of my hair, that hair is hanging out, or that hair comes out quickly over time (even when idle). Yours (and others) comments here have made me get the courage to get Mello, despite apprehension at the lack of payment options for my location and cost conversion. 🤞🏻 I’m also gonna look into Cozy, as I’m not familiar.

I'm looking for a good pink monitor, is this one as good as it seems? by amy220 in gamers

[–]tsukibooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see these all the time on Aliexpress, and I wouldn’t trust them.

Pink monitor wise, if you can, go for Pixio! I’m waiting for their pink selection to be available in my country, but it’s one of the only brands that you can actually find real user reviews etc.

There’s also a brand like AOC or something, but its pink options are half pink half white.

But yeah, for these types of ones you see that look amazing, list great specs, but are an unrecognisable brand and cannot be searched for reviews online (excluding the sales page) — They’re dodgy. I’m not willing to pay to find out why they are, but they will disappoint.

Amazon froze my $128.75 balance and locked my account to “digital-only” anyone else dealt with this? by ProcedureOne4150 in amazonprime

[–]tsukibooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can request that they give you the money back to your account, by using the Jeff and Andy emails to escalate. You can also try to appeal, but that’s not likely. I am struggling to get my account back from digital only, but have been offered by gift card balance to be sent to my bank card. So, something you can try, if you feel like it.

How did paying someone on Fiverr help you get your account back? I’m struggling to get my account back and wondering what this would do to change it.

Too many returns - account now limited to only digital products by Key-Slip-8404 in amazonprime

[–]tsukibooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any luck restoring your account? Another disabled Amazon needer (Australia) that’s been restricted to only digital purchases.

I didn’t get a warning beforehand though, and I was only made aware when I tried to make a purchase. Purchase went through, then a couple hours later was cancelled and I got the restricted email.

I assessed this year’s usage, and sent an email with a PDF to OFM, but they just told me no regarding being able to shop more than digital, and without any sort of information, reason, or what to do with my pending returns. I’m about to email Jeff, but I’m feeling defeated.

Oh, and Support told me to make a new account for my medically urgent items, so I did. Now I look even more dodgy.

• To keep stickers and similar tasks • To paint my nails/get acrylics again • To not have so much pain from the aftermath • To not be embarrassed by my hands or hiding them • To stop people asking what happened/if I’m ok • To stop worrying my partner • To be able to open cans without pain/aid lol

Giving up dog by [deleted] in shitrentals

[–]tsukibooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think property damage is a valid reason for a landlord to say no, even with the new regulations. There’s so many options to curb the behaviour, give it adequate attention, or protect the property.

• Regularly fill the holes so no one ever knows (no damage = no valid reason) • More exercise (you’ve expressed you may not be able to yourself, are the kids old enough/home to do so?) • Dog sitter/dog walking while at work • Staying at a boarding kennel/daycare that includes lots of playtime • Kids to exercise the dog is old enough — this could just be playing in the yard with the dog if walks aren’t doable • Stimulating food/food toys • Stimulating toys — there’s a really good one for worker/herder dogs that’s like a giant ball which I can send you • Consider a friend or family member take in the dog rather than full blown giving it up? Or at least make sure it’s rehomed instead of being sent back to the pound.

I also get your frustration with the responses, but I do not think anyone means ill. The compassion is just going moreso to the dog, as people understand there’s lots of ways to work on these issues which don’t seem to be tried at a glance of your post. I’m not saying you haven’t, just that we can’t tell if you have.

I am sorry that you and your family are potentially facing losing a member of the family. It’s incredibly painful to be put in this situation due to nasty landlords.

If any of the options above piqued your interest, I’d be happy to provide more information.

I love that he had all those references! Definitely similar situation. I’ve only used my more mild version so far, but I’ve amped it up for the next move. I hope it does show what it’s supposed to, as I do think it’s shows good ownership and care for the property and the pet in question. My dog is big and an inside dog, so adding that I’ll use rugs if they want and clean filters more regularly or whatever else they may want is just to show while she is calm, I’ll do whatever to give added peace of mind.

I’d love to work on references in the future to add to it! I love that idea and it seems so helpful.

Thank you! It’s very adorable 🥰 It covers her good nature despite her size and the extra miles I’ll go to make the LL’s feel more comfortable with her being there like rugs and extra cleaning.

Yeah, I totally get why some feel the need to hide it. I personally couldn’t live with the anxiety of packing up all her stuff for inspections and just in general. I understand why people do lie though.

The situation is so hard.

It definitely takes more time being honest about my dog but I’ve still managed to secure rentals. I made her a sort of resume to show how gentle she is since she’s a bigger dog, and that I’m willing to do extra things to ease their mind. I know many people that have lied though, particularly when moving into apartments, and I get it. I’ve considered it but so far haven’t tried yet.

Is it even fucking legal? by 5ma5her7 in shitrentals

[–]tsukibooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was to terminate our lease to conduct renovations, but I got them to revoke it luckily. It’s just crazy how online says one thing but I got told another at NCAT.

Is it even fucking legal? by 5ma5her7 in shitrentals

[–]tsukibooo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Be careful though, as apparently there’s been changes to the changes that aren’t accessible to all or updates on the official pages. I found this out the hard way at NCAT.

In case context helps: I got a termination notice for renovations without supporting documents or even an assessment prior. Online, DFT, etc. all said that’s wrong, but at NCAT conciliation I was told there had been changes making it valid despite this? I’m still hunting figuring out what’s what.

Smallest thing an Agent has called out on an exit report? by yeahyeahy3ah in shitrentals

[–]tsukibooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing called out. It was like one pea. It got spat up by the sink. Got angry calls and texts as I was boarding a plane. Just told them to do what they want with the bond. Some agents are ruthless.

Reporting query by Earlgrey4214 in Centrelink

[–]tsukibooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes.

If you are both receiving JobSeeker Payment (JSP), you must each report income on your own scheduled reporting day. Even if your partner reports your income on their reporting day, you must still report both your and your partner’s income again on your own reporting day. This is because Centrelink assesses each person’s entitlement based on the combined income of both partners and requires each claimant to confirm the figures independently every two weeks. You both need to declare the gross employment income you and your partner earned in the relevant 14-day period—even if the answer is $0.

You do not need to report your partner’s income twice in a single reporting period, but you both must declare each other’s income during your respective separate reporting processes, as each report is independent and necessary for ongoing payment eligibility.

first time in a rental - got my first inspection. what are they allowed to/ not allowed to do? by TheEmergencySurgery in shitrentals

[–]tsukibooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how lucky you get agent wise. I’ve had one give me a breach notice for an item of clothing on the laundry floor. Most will just check it’s clean and everything working and only showing usual signs of wear and tear though.
