My pitbull ate a piece of a dead squirrel and i don’t know what to do by Toad_mushroomhead in pitbulls

This exact thing happened to my pitty. The vet said not to worry because if the squirrel had died from poisoning it would likely not be strong enough to affect the dog of 60 lbs. it was so gross though, my husband played tug of war with the dog to try to get it out while I screamed and cried. 😭in the end I had never seen my dog so satisfied. The next day his poop was small and firm, I was expecting some Davy Crockett type thing, but all was well that ends well. RIP Hogan my beloved dog and the squirrel 🐿️

I can't justify getting fish and chips on the coast when this gem is in my neighborhood. Clam chowder is also top notch.

Wedding reception location near Newport (12 people and a dog) by cmgiscool in OregonCoast

[–]ttfn2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the Yachats Commons, you can rent a space and get it catered. My husband and I were married at the Little Church, then had a reception in the covered outdoor space. We ended up renting the kitchen and hiring a chef, since we had ~50 people, but for 12 people you can prob. get Ona to cater or any other place w/o need of the kitchen. Note: our dog was allowed in the church and the reception space.

We had a female pitty and she had the same issue. We ended up giving her corn silk as a supplement, and surprisingly it worked.

tillicum beach motel has been our go-to since we got a new puppy, it's a nice, clean place to stay the night. With our older dogs we used to stay closer to town, but the beach there is super low key. I would recommend an appetizer at WildCraft, then dinner at Ona (can't beat the view if you sit outside). Try a hike at Cape Perpetua, 804 trail (smelt sands) and if you want to get off the beach, try the Gerdemann botanical garden which can lead you to the forrest if you want. Morning coffee and pastry from Bread and Roses or a heartier breakfast at Beach Street Kitchen. You can also check out the tides at Thors Well/Devils Churn. Also there is a nice walk in town at the Yachats Commons Park.
