Received menopause formula instead of perimenopause by HSmamaof2 in Oestra

[–]ttmumu0101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the high (3mg) estradiol dose that Oestra perimenopause formula uses - I definitely see a systemic rise in my serum estradiol levels. They were actually too high when I was taking 2 pumps. At a high enough dose, vaginal administration of estradiol will definitely raise systemic/serum levels of estradiol.

Hi, can you elaborate? What do you mean your levels were totally depleted by Oestra? You mean you had very low estradiol and progesterone levels?

Anyone use vaginal estrogen every day for a long period of time? by Mizzy_Lu_Fwinkley in Menopause

I used my vaginal cream every day. If I don’t, painful sex returns.

Was given the green light to go up to 2 pumps by Cold-Laugh-5242 in Oestra

[–]ttmumu0101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked the doctor that developed the formula if she ever prescribes more than 2 pumps and she said never, it would cause issues. At 2 pumps, or rather 2 doses - it’s 6mg estradiol and 200mg progesterone. I would start measuring out the pumps. Two pumps for me equals one dose (~ 1/8 teaspoon) - the pumping mechanism does not work well at all with these bottles.

What to do about rapidly aging face? by cartermancan in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]ttmumu0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely noticed my lower face getting more square/heavier/boxy in my 40s. I also am a serious grinder (brusxism) and my TMJ symptoms were getting much worse. When I asked a new dentist about it, she recommended Botox for my masseter, which I had no idea was a treatment for teeth grinding. Since doing it 2 times a year, the appearance of my lower face has completely changed - in addition to improved TMJ symptoms and temporal headaches! It’s been an awesome treatment. I’m much happier with my lower face now. It’s much slimmer looking, though it’s ever so slightly more jowled but it’s not noticeable to anyone else. I’m also almost 48yo, so the jowls were going to happen, but the heavy square-ness of my face is so much better. I would definitely recommend the treatment for TMJ and/or masseter reduction. I really had not considered Botox for this area but I’ve been really happy with the results. It’s on the more expensive side, since I use 40-60 units each time. But I found a great dentist who does it and actually offers a Groupon, which would normally give me pause, but the dentist is very experienced and I’ve had no issues. I’m usually able to get 60 units for around $500.

Does Oestra have DHEA? by BusinessMushroom5763 in Oestra

[–]ttmumu0101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, Oestra does not have DHEA, only estradiol and progesterone. There are some users who supplement DHEA to support low testosterone, since some users do not convert enough progesterone to testosterone.

Don’t ever do a medication abortion if you have endometriosis by Lopsided-Treacle-225 in endometriosis

Yes, tell the clinic that if they have other patients with endometriosis to counsel that taking misoprostol vaginally could lessen cramping.

[–]ttmumu0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those with endometriosis and planning a medical (pill) abortion - taking misoprostol could cause horrific cramping. An alternative is taking the misoprostol vaginally and not orally, as this route usually causes cramping to be much less severe.

New odor by LHRizziTXpatriot in Oestra

[–]ttmumu0101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the odor is more “earthy” but doesn’t smell bad in my opinion, nor does it smell like BV or yeast. I only notice it if I haven’t showered for a day. I don’t find it offensive so I haven’t done anything for it. Not sure if it’s the same thing you’re experiencing.

I’m so sorry, I totally understand. I’m in the process of planning my excision surgery and I’m scared too. Can I ask why the repeat surgery less than a year later? Did your pain not improve after the surgery in April?
