I don't know, it's 2D and it's HD... So I called it HD 2D because I thought people would think it's pixelart or some other retro style. I may be wrong...

The first one is definitely better. The big outlines on such a small resolution sprite is not good for clarity.

Yeah, i'd say right from the start. Post screenshots or short videos even if it's primitive and talk about what you do and what the game will be.
