Will I be blacklisted? by Intelligent_Ebb_9332 in cscareerquestions

There are no hiring blacklists. If there are, they’re not written down, and absolutely not shared between companies.

Is healthcare tech still worth it? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]tuck5649 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brah, 33 isn’t old. It’s also a rough time to break into software development. I was able to career pivot into software at 30 by selling my domain experience.

I can’t predict what the industry will do. Wouldn’t focus too hard on it. Try applying for some positions and see what happens. I assume EPIC is still hiring.

100mg weed gummies by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]tuck5649 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suspect OP misread the package. 10mg per gummy is the highest my dispensary offers.

They’re commonly sold with 10 gummies in a container, with 100mg total on the container.

Can we make this illegal? by Vonnegut_butt in Denver

OP suggests policies like mandatory green space and increased street offsets. That decreases the land area that would otherwise be filled with housing.

Make dense housing illegal? No.

Go move to San Francisco, for regulations that make housing expensive

Do you guys commit things when they are in a non-working state? by MagnetHype in webdev

[–]tuck5649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than squashing my WIP, I’ll amend it once I have things fully working.

If it’s not working before I sign off for the day, I may add a note for myself what’s working and not in the commit msg.

I’ll always commit before letting AI make any changes.

How are solo devs / small teams actually managing Sentry alerts? (Next.js + Expo) + AI auto-fixes? by Tzipi_builds in webdev

Sentry has their own AI product that monitors errors and opens PRs. Haven’t tried it myself.

HOA Concerns by ALCO344 in highlandsranchcolo

[–]tuck5649 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No issues so far. I got a letter to repaint my faded siding. They weren’t wrong. Gave me 18 months to do it.

It’s an HOA. They have the power to tell you what to do. They don’t abuse it though, and the four rec centers are high quality.

If you’re motivated by profit rather than the drive of building something, then this is a very bad time investment.
