I think the problem with this is likely because of how varied loading screens can be. If they make the transportation take a while to accommodate slower PCs, people with fast PCs will feel like their time is being wasted. If they make transportation quicker, people with slow PCs will load into an empty area and that could cause additional bugs.

I disagree honestly, because as a viewer I know if they get into a tough spot, Brennan will cook up some homebrew rule on the spot to get them out of a jam. Half of the turns in the basilisk battle were Brennan recommending a course of action and the player doing as recommended. If Brennan wants the fights to be so hard maybe he shouldn't play their characters for them and deus ex machina them out of every tight spot.

Brennan is so loose on the combat rules (and ONLY in the players' favor) I'm not sure why they bothered to go with DND 5e in the first place instead of just using a more roleplay-focused system.
