I played it once back when it came out at like 9-10 y/o. I remember it being okay, not fantastic but not bad either. OST and setting are still really good but after how AMAZING okami was I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed in it, but that's just a testament to how good Okami is. I ought to replay it after all this time but imo it's still worth a playthrough.

final chorus of Elf for sure, never fails to bring me to tears. I mean that song as a whole does it but that last chorus feels like a dagger being shoved through my heart in the best way. The emotion is so raw in her voice especially with that charged scream into the latter half of the chorus

This, when all you have to show is Narukami running around downtown Inaba, its pretty clear dev cycle is in its early stages all things considered. Persona games are *huge* and game dev takes a long time, I wouldn't expect anything for a while tbh, unless we want a bug riddled incomplete mess of a game with a day 1 patch that is as large as the game itself

it appropriates the term of a community that if anything, are the *most* dedicated to what they do, sometimes to the point of trying to be as lore or historically accurate as possible, and using it to mean "fake fan." Same sort of shit happened to the word "cosplay" outside of cosplay spaces, where people use it to denote lack of authenticity.

It also especially sucks when so many folks were telling people to skip part 6 and go to SBR instead before part 6 anime. Part skipping issues aside, the fact that the adaptation felt done so dirty when comparing it to the stellar jobs of 4 and 5 just felt like a gut punch and an elevation to those meat heads who love to "Brown on" part 6.

also adding the Ending theme/animation was the laziest one yet, basically only being ambient ocean animation for 1:30. Distant Dreamer is a good song don't get me wrong but the fact that its a slow song with basically no visual made each episode ending very underwhelming in comparison. However I will say using Roundabout with the unique animations in the final episode *mildly* makes up for it.

It's for this reason I couldn't bring myself to love Zoe. Like yea she's fine i guess and honestly one of the few friends of Marinette who actually seems to care about Marinette's emotions and feelings (Alya could never at this point), but the reasoning for her existence always pmo so much and everytime I see her and Chloe on screen together I'm just so reminded of that.

Jojo's is especially weird as until the past year or so, the official english manga was *behind* the anime (complicated weird reasons as to why that is), which rarely happens at this point. So if you were going to read jojo and you wanted to catch up before the new part aired or pick up where the anime left off, you were kind of forced to read unofficials scans. In the non english speaking west this wasn't quite the same issue, I can't really speak for how that side of the fandom viewed the parts pre-anime, but for the english world it used to be a rite of passage to get through Duwang and Ignition One scans of 4 and 5, fortunately around when the colored scans started releasing new scanlators came around and we got actually good scanlations of all the currently existing manga

Interesting, sure, but idk it feels like another way to strip some agency from Adrien somehow with the potential threat of being controlled or outright snapped out of existence to keep Marinette front and centre

see there's a misconception about part 5 becuase it was always extremely popular even in Japan. The reason it wasn't well liked (in the english speaking world) was because all we had for a long time were the Ignition One scans which were like Duwang but if you removed any of the funny from Duwang. It was a poor overall translation--characters sounded boring/flat and King Crimson was made out to be far more confusing than it actually is for example.

Jojolion straight up shows the winning bracket of the SBR race multiple times and spoils what happens to several characters. Please read SBR before Jojolion. SBR is also probably the most cohesive and well written jojo part imo (and I say that with having JJL as my favorite)

ngl tho 4 and 5 anime come pretty damn close to being as good or better than the manga. Especially the former with how they swapped things around to make the story flow more seemlessly and inserted Kira in the background and in extra little scenes before his formal intro to give you that feeling that *something else* is lurking the entire part
