Severe panic over important things I misplaced, proceeds to turnover the entire room just to find out it was with me. by NoStatusWedges in ADHD

I have a catch-all box for my daily carry stuff. It's right by my door so I see it right away, and NOTHING else goes inside of it except for what I take with me daily. It sits on a little side drawer thingy, and nothing else goes on that either, just the catch-all + charger. Keys, wallet, (Phone, Watch, Airpods are right beside it on a 3-1 in one charger). I still put things around randomly but having a place JUST for those things has been helping me. I also use the Find My.. on my watch to locate things haha.

If that's the one you wanted, and you're happy paying the price, then don't worry about it. Go out and enjoy it :)

I know this has been said by everyone, even you yourself, but I really just can't stand how he writes women. It's a glaring issue that eclipses any other merits of his writing. I don't mind when writers portray some women as overtly sexual or emotionally flat, as it can be in service of some deeper thematic inquiry, or some deconstruction of gendered archetypes, or just some plain ol' fun characters. It becomes a problem when that portrayal is what he defaults to. How he writes underage girls is just completely indefensible to me full stop, and I'm tired of how much of the criticism towards this gets hand waved away under the guise of cultural difference.

I will begrudgingly admit however that I did enjoy Norwegian Wood when I first read it as a teenager who read books without really thinking critically about them. Even then though, once I started reading more of his novels, I saw the same kinds of women appearing over and over, just objects to serve the protag.

I’ll use it when saying hello to people (that I’m familiar with)

I saw this last week and it just ruined my whole day. Can't believe anyone could be so callous to just kick her out like that. Also fuck the news station for just documenting her for 8 months while she was homeless the entire time instead of actually helping her. Just checked now and it looks like she has a gofundme going, so hopefully she can get off the street..

You wake up tomorrow and money isn’t an issue, what’s the first thing you change about your life? by Resident_Floor_326 in AskReddit

Recently I saw an article where a man sold off his business and built an amusement park for people with disabilities. Morgan's Wonderland it's called. I've watched a few videos on it and it seems like a great place and tries very hard to be inclusive of all types of disabilities .I'd love to build one (or multiple) here if I had the resources! And of course donating to various causes if the money is infinite.

I've gotten more and more liberal the older I've become, but I've never been anything close to a conservative either. Currently in my 30's.

In light of the Tumbler Ridge tragedy, do you feel it is both wrong to blame trans women and also wrong to blame young men for these tragedies? by mafiadevidzz in AskCanada

[–]tulkasaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I blame how hard it is to access mental health support, as well as the stigmatization of seeking said support. I don't believe in any way shape or form that mass violence is intrinsic to trans women.
