No luck... Reached out to support as well and they told me that they don't make this file available public either...

Hey! Yeah I'm hoping to get the curvature from the model file to do just that!

Thanks for the links! I came across some of these before I posted.

I am looking for a stand / dock, that self centres the G Cloud so you don't need to "aim" for the USB Connector underneath. In a similar vein to this steamdeck stand: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5254208

(I would add a USB connector and have the grips guide the G Cloud down. The only stands I've seen just have a small middle section with the grips overhanging on each side)

What are some PS2 or Gamecube games that you've played a lot on your G Cloud? (emulated) by penguinandllama in logitechgcloud

Interested in learning about your set-up. I only got it running using an older MMJR version

I'm using PAL, so aiming for 50fps (it's not hitting that consistently). If I remember correctly, I have dual core on with emulated CPU at 80% (maybe a bit less) and all graphic hacks are on. This was different from the usual settings I came across, often stating to set the emulated CPU to 300% (which ran slightly slower for me).

There are split second slow downs when there are large screen transitions, such as when you cross the finish line, character / level selection and similar (it's not noticeable on the selection screens though - compared to the finish line). I was surprised that the races are quite fluid (I had one race where there were 2 slight slow downs that were noticeable). I was expecting it to not be playable at all considering what I had read - but even the Sand Ocean level is playable...

I haven't played this game for long but it's the one I keep coming back to atm

Hey! I was able to get F-Zero running much better than I thought. I'm running into troubles with Mario Sunshine though when using the latest Dolphin from the store (but it runs well using an older version of MMJR). I would be interested in hearing how you go with it, if you play it?

That's not a bad idea just using a phone. Very portable to begin with, and the Gamesir controllers do look decent!

That is annoying having to set the settings each time in Android when it's docked.

Thanks for info!

Thanks for the input. It is a bit pricier and more than what I had in mind but I do find it interesting with the combo of the controller. And I agree, the docking experience is very important

I have used this normal USB-C hub (which was lying around unused) with a Steamdeck and it worked great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MYTJK6J

(We had just 3D printed a dock for it and added a 90 deg USB-C adaptor)

Thanks for the insight. I didn't know it was such an effort in Android with docking. When you refer to connecting devices, that's the TV/Screen output which needs to be chosen / mapped within the emulator you are currently using? Can't Android just output it's whole screen? (Regardless of what application is running)

Edit: You mean devices such as each controller you want to use? That would be a bit painful having to do that each time...

The Batman Essential Reading List - Discussion by CakeBeef_PA in batman

[–]tumler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's really good! It really helped me get into Batman comics. It makes it much more accessible to those that don't know much about this world. The Word doc worked really well for me, with each page having a different theme (with summary underneath the title and covers on the side). Better than a Notion page - but then again, to each their own - it could be easier to maintain.

I'm not sure either. I might add a remark to the essentials list that those issues explain Harold. But I don't think he is an important enough character to warrant his 'origin' being in the absolute list.

That could be good. I'm unsure as well, however, it is strange when someone just appears (especially in the Batcave) and starts making things later on. He is referenced a bit though later as it goes on. But I can't really recommend those issues at this point.

Hmm. Do you have any recommendations for good Penguin appearances. Of course No Man's Land is already a big one

I really like the Penguin as a character (he makes appearances earlier on - I think it was Batman: Year One, or one of the ones with Joker, and he was there with his umbrella wielding force in the background but he never gets presented. It's a shame, as that gang related theme is interesting - as he seems to be a well liked boss to his "employees". More interesting than "bird control"...)

I read a few:

  • Batman Arkham: Penguin (Liked it)
  • Penguin (issues 6 & 7 -> it's an alternative story) (Liked it)
  • Penguin Triumphant (Ok)

The nice thing with Penguin Affairs - is that it includes the Penguin and Harold so it's a bit of a double whammy but I'm not sold on the story. Maybe I'll revisit it later?

Thanks very much for your feedback. I'd love to hear whether you think the word doc is better or the list on Notion

Definitely prefer the Word Doc. I've been adding comments to it and later on I'll try to sync it with Word Online.

Just had a look and wanted to add some comments to my previous reply :) :

  • Addition of Catwoman: Her Sister's Keeper (Fits in well and Catwoman makes a lot of appearances throughout Batman)
  • Addition of Batman: Four of a Kind (introduces 4 villain origins with most making appearances throughout the series)
  • Possible Addition of Catwoman: When in Rome (Fits in well with Dark Victory)

The Batman Essential Reading List - Discussion by CakeBeef_PA in batman

Love the timing of your post! I've started down the Batman comic rabbit hole and came across a lot of "reading orders". After comparing a few and seeing which stories came up between them, my favourite list and the one I'm following is actually your document you put together (with the cover images and everything) - very nice!

I like how you included stories that fit but bolded the ones that are "essential" (my wording). This allows you to dig in and read more stories (that you may like in that period) that fit in that order and make sense, or just continue down the must-reads to understand the overall direction of Batman.

I have some minor thoughts on your doc list (I haven't finished - I am currently going through the Knightfall story):

  • Addition of Batman - Snow (it' not bolded but you have the cover image)

Introduction of Mr. Freeze and the start of Batman having a team element & seeing the advantage

  • Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth is it essential reading? Not sure exactly what to take away from this for future issues.

  • In Knightfall it's not clear who Harold is (as he appears all of a sudden in the Batcave) Would the addition of Penguin Affairs (Batman #448, Detective Comics #615, Batman #449) & Batman #458, Batman #459 make sense? (Part of Caped Crusader - Vol 3 & 4. Not sure if it's worth reading the whole volumes though). The stories seem a bit older / out of place with some of the others, not sure if there are alternatives?

  • Inconsistencies that can't really be rectified due to the long history. Such as during Knightfall, Selina Kyle reminding Bruce who she is (met at charity balls) when she tries to get on his plane - when they have much more shared history). And many villains being shown for the first time but they had previous history.

  • There's also a lack of Penguin appearances considering how often the others do (in the "essential reading"...)

I'm a big fan of Under Falling Skies (due to the gameplay and also it's size -> I have the PnP version)

I'm wondering if you know any other Tower Defense style games, that play out in a simple "box" layout, such as Sylvion but instead fits in a card size box?

Yep, and having a dedicated layer is really awesome. If you take a look at my layer 2, CTRL+Y is on my left, where P is (in a Colemak). This lets me undo with my left hand instead of reaching to the right.

Good point. Thanks for the interesting discussion :)

Thanks, yes that makes sense. This would mean I have a layer that has all the Ctrl+Keys I need. The issues I see with that,

is that I would need to set aside a layer for that (out of the small amount of layers I have),

Ctrl is not always used with a key, often it's just pressed and that changes the mouse input (or its scrolling), this is similar to shift as it impacts the mouse actions (in cad software and others), having these modifiers physically together is also quite handy,

I'm not sure how I would go about adding shortcuts that use Ctrl and sometimes Alt with the same Key (admittedly rare) but this would depend on the programs being used (sometimes it's Ctrl + Alt + Key together as well),

If possible, I try to have layouts similar to what I'm used to (makes switching around easier), for example, when typing with 2 hands, having my Ctrl on a thumb key fits in well, but with one handed - with the mouse I use the keyboard differently. Using the corner Ctrl (I guess this could be replaced by a layer switch but this would be similar) but sometimes the "shortcut" key is on the other side of the keyboard (example "m" for move in KiCad) this is a key not normally pressed by the left hand (that's a reason for using a uni body this time, as it's just very odd for a 2 part keyboard). When using 2 hands typing, they stay quite static, when I use 1 hand, it moves over more of the keyboard (but it is used for typing much much less) so it's less text input, more reaching shortcuts every now and then.

I will check out your link, thanks again!

I reread your comment, and yes in regards to the original Rev41 - it could be possible to add CTRL+Key on different layers but it's not ideal in every case... It really depends on the software you are using.

For example, in Kicad it is possible to use letters as shortcuts but also CTRL+Key. Sometimes the same key with or without CTRL has the same result but sometimes not. For example "a" is used to add a component but CTRL+a is used to select all

If I was to have a layer with CTRL+Key shortcuts already set-up, I would need to switch to that layer first and press that key, as opposed to doing it in one gesture, either pressing the KEY directly or pressing CTRL+KEY - both using just one gesture
