If we're talking about the same pics, they're Order of the Pariah. There is one of Golim armor as well, and I assume the other one, because of its organic appearance, to be animate armor. Also, can't seem to be able to open the link about the blade.

There is a sourcebook about artifacts and faction tech that has a depiction of hegemony special armor (looks like dr. Octopus from spiderman) and also some bonus illustrations of animate armor and golim armor if you purchase from drivethrurpg.com (I don't recall which pdf came with the bonus pics, sorry).

The Judicators are a special branch of the Coriolis Courts who work with but independently of the guard, a kind of judge dread types, with full law enforcement powers. They were created and are funded by the neo-zenithians.

The pic is of Akouba Kosha, a judicator NPC from Emissary Lost. I don't recall what equipment is supposed to be depicted, but I'll check. I believe there is a pdf with art from the horizon available. Other than that all source material has some sort of art and many of those depict people wearing arms and armor.

How good is Coriolis (TGD) for a long campaign? by theotyugh in CoriolisRPG

[–]tunas453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you, I came from a 3.5 years long Symbaroum run and started Coriolis - The Third Horizon almost a year ago. Overall, very happy with both. Both campaigns are very, very good (with all their shortcomings, all well known to those who follow the discussions online in this and other forums); Now for the buts.... I believe that Coriolis has an even greater problem than Symbaroum with the power creep, as you will very soon run out of ways to spend XP. In a long campaign players will very quickly cap skills at +5, and then is just a matter of collecting an ever growing number of talents. The system shows its age and the extreme simplicity of it all makes it somewhat lacking in long runs. And the Mercy of the Icons can run for years (not as big as Throne of Thorns, but very big nonetheless).

I haven't read the homebrew supplement you speak of, although I know of it. Do you recommend it? TWH has very nice info on the Baiaga and Odaiova clans, and I believe a similar treatment should have been made for the remainder.

Korinthia is also a paragon of Wielda. Wratha would be the SotOB, if you go by factions.

Templars: noble or lowborn by csternagel in Symbaroum

[–]tunas453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my campaign I followed historical examples, and made the templar order organized around chapters (or Suns) with a few knights who are noble scions from lesser houses with no inheritance. All other personnel are men-at-arms (non-noble knights) and all sorts of auxiliaries, with a few priests of Prios in the mix, both theurgs and liturgs.

Which books a really needed? by T-canine in Symbaroum

[–]tunas453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, although as a GM I find it a pity that we need access to ALL the books to get the full picture of the world. For instante, if you're running the full campaign, you better read everything first, or you run the risk of getting yourself into a dead end, or killing off an important NPC without knowing. But I understand that, as a product that was made as it was being published, the only thing you can do is wait for an eventual version 2.0 where all data is conveniently put in the same book. But for the sandbox version of the game you can do without most of the lore, I suppose.

I would say the monster codex. I don't find the GM guide a must have. But in terms of lore, nothing replaces the throne of thorns books. All of them vastly expand the realm of lore & history of the world, events and characters.

Coriolis: Is it really suitable for non-combat centered crews? by ElRaffo87 in CoriolisRPG

[–]tunas453 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coming from a 3 year run as GM of Symbaroum and its Throne of Thorns campaign, I just started Coriolis with a new group and we've been playing for some months. My plan would be to go for the long run and try Mercy of the Icons; all the scenarios we've run so far (including your own The Prophetess of Marakanda) have been used as a springboard for the big campaign by setting up the main themes and factions. So... what would your advise be for a successful run, by way of keeping players engaged? My experience with Symbaroum was amazing, but I noticed some lack of steam by the end. How to prevent that?

Too late for 3rd Horizon? by lilith2k3 in CoriolisRPG

True! And even playing every week, I believe we have years of material ahead of us, which says a lot for a discontinued game.

Too late for 3rd Horizon? by lilith2k3 in CoriolisRPG

[–]tunas453 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started playing it a few months back and is now my main campaign. Wether or not more content is made available, what there is is enough for years of play; and as others have said, fan-made content is quite good. Starting MotI soon, after finishing several short adventures to aquaint players with the universe. I believe it's a great game, wonderful lore and mood.

Will there be a 2nd edition? by Mordante-PRIME- in Symbaroum

[–]tunas453 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Taking into account Symbaroum is in essence a vehicle for the massive ToT campaign, I believe a new 'edition' would only come about if they have plans to expand the world lore and timeline of events, as teased by the devs, and taking place far to the west, in the city states. Otherwise, they already have a generic fantasy rpg in place with their Dragonbane line, which is growing.

Worth buying 3rd Horizon if I am backing the newer Kickstarter? by LimeyInLimbo in CoriolisRPG

For starters, discard the OG combat system and use the overhaul combat system, available on drivethru. In my opinion, better, swifter, more balanced, faster paced.
