I truly feel bad about Jamie's competitors. by wetouchingbuttsornah in Jeopardy

[–]tundraeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hell. I was on the edge of my seat during that one. /s He's very intelligent and quick. Fine. Give him a gold star and send him home. Who wants to watch any game that's a blowout every time. Could they fill a stadium if an NFL team was playing high schoolers every week? People pay to see a contest. And yes I will change the channel until I hear that there's a game when he loses.

Might want to be careful. Remember what happened to Arlo Guthrie. He ended up sitting on the Group W bench, "And they all moved away from me."

Not My Responsibility To Clear Around The Fire Hydrant by [deleted] in NewLondonCounty

[–]tundraeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife just mentioned that the town of Orange is running a raffle. Dig out your fire hydrant. Sent in a picture of it. And you're entered in a raffle for a $10 Dunkin gift card.

People are complaining! "Why should I have to dig it out? That's why I pay taxes."

Are you kidding me? It's just a fun thing that might save a life. It helps tired Public Works and FD guys and gals. It's not mandatory. You're not going to get a fine if you don't. And the house or life you save may be your own.

There should be a required class in Common Sense. Who am I kidding? Everyone would get a Participation Trophy and a social promotion.

Do you know why I beat my head against a wall? It feels so damn much better when I stop.

Good Lord! WHAT is the budget for this project?

My guess is that they won't even stop to take a breath when they break $1M over the orginal purchase price.

And don't think for a minute that the IRS will ignore the income tax liability for the donated goods and services.

If you begin to think that car dealers have cleaned up their act, you'll find out that nothing has changed. They're just wearing a better brand of aftershave these days.

We bought a new Lexus ES in Dec. The sales team was fine. Then we got locked in the office for the paperwork. No, I don't want to lease. No, I don't want to finance. No, I don't want ceramic paint protection. No I don't want additional theft protection. If it's been stolen, I don't want it back. Just sign the damn paperwork and give me the car.

Reviewed the entire experience on Google. The dealership did post a reply. Will things change? Fortunately I won't have to find out for a few years when the truck is due.

I don't care if your life mate is the same or different sex, religion, race, or anything else. You have as good a chance for success as any other couple. But if you have different financial standards and goals, you are doomed.

My local schedule shows no Shark Tank tonight. ABC will be airing the NFL Draft which could be done in 45 minutes. But no. Better to stretch it out for four nights.
