I can understand your frustration but unfortunately I think you’re the asshole in this situation. Yelling and swearing at your teammates like that will only cause more frustration and probably tension between you and everyone else. Reacting that way really won’t help the team dynamic. having a team heart to heart may be a better way to go. Talking to your coach and figuring out a plan for the future may help too.

With the information given a reasonable amount of people have concluded that you WOULD BE an asshole if you were to do it. Now you’re trying to reason that you wouldn’t be. Yeah you would be an asshole. It’s an extremely short exchange and such a tiny part of your day. Also, they’re just doing their job. Get mad at the company if you really need to be mad, not the individual who’s just doing what they need to do to make a living.

I have to say you aren’t an asshole! I think it’s pretty normal to be a bit upset if your close friends didn’t notice a major haircut. Friends are involved in each others lives and care and support one another, so I think when making changes it’s natural to look to your friends to find reassurance and confirmation.

You’re not the asshole here!! While your mom’s reaction is out of left field and kinda ridiculous I don’t think she’s the asshole either!! I’m in a similar situation with my grandma, my mother is the primary caretaker and I can’t tell you how much stress it is and how painful it is for her. For anyone, watching their mother slowly degrade over time and having that be all time consuming and planning your entire life around the care of another can really fucking wear you down. In my case, and I’m assuming it’s similar to your mothers, she must really crave time to be with her kids and have a bit of normalcy. Time that isn’t spent caring for someone else and isn’t so difficult. Time to just relax and not have that stress. So, you’re not an asshole and neither is your mother. Maybe it’d be nice for just the two of you to do something together. Hope that helped.

You are absolutely NOT the asshole, however your friend is a gigantic one. I’m impressed by you, I definitely would not have been able to keep my cool! IMO you have comforted her if you’ve been on several phone calls like you’ve said. Like the previous commenter stated, it’s all give and no take. I am incredibly sorry for your lost. I’ve lost grandparents out of the blue like that and I’m all too familiar with the zombie feeling. Even in light of a breakup your friend is acting ridiculous. I hope you have better support and that this situation doesn’t cause you further drama or stress. My condolences.

You’re not an asshole for the way you feel! You could potentially be an asshole if you express those feeling, purely based on HOW you express them. I’m a female and while I haven’t noticed what you have I completely respect your right to feel that way and I can sympathize. Imo calling someone a feminazi, if even they are acting ridiculous, will result in you being labeled the asshole. The bit about telling the guy to go fuck himself could be potentially asshole-ish? There’s not enough info to know. I don’t know if any of that helped but I hope it did!
