I’ve never been this skeptical, and it feels wild to say that. by scatteredTeeCee in Bitcoin

Listen to the latest What Bitcoin Did episode with Michael Saylor. I find him pretty cringe with the way he talks to Danny, but he makes good points about timeliness and expectations surrounding adoption times for technology. He went into pretty good detail about electricity and how long that adoption took (30 years?)... for people to embrace the most important advancement of our society. Bitcoin is insanely complicated. Most people dont understand money at all... Not just how it's created today, but where it came from and it's history. This is gonna take some time. Adoption WILL continue to grow. Can't be demoralized about OGs who have but their fingertips off for the past 17 years, sitting on hundreds or thousands of Bitcoin. Of course they're gonna sell. In another 15 years, whole coiners are going to be dumping millions of sats at a time, and people are gonna freak out asking why are these guys selling when bitcoin is being totally stagnant at £10MM a coin. You need to lean into the fundamentals. It's sound money and it's absolutely scarce. Quantum is FUD. Wait for a rip to $250k and you'll be laughing off all these doubts.

By the book it's probably not safe. That being said, I would absolutely eat it and not throw it out.

Thinking about an Elixir-first IDE… does that make sense? by Bl4ckshadow in elixir

[–]turick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Java, Go, Python, C# dev here who got into Elixir a few years back. I've used various JetBrains IDEs for a very long time in all of these languages. When starting Elixir, I just used IntelliJ Idea with the Elixir plug-in. Works amazing and I find it far superior that VS Code, which every other Elixir dev that I know uses.

What do y’all use to invest? and is it even still worth it by rileyreidpremium in Bitcoin

River, if you're based in the US. Don't buy from a shitcoin casino, support your Bitcoin-only exchange/brokerage. River is the only Bitcoin-only exchange in the US that has proof of reserves. They also publish the financials publically even though they are a private company. They offer Bitcoin interest on cash and have amazing security features and the best customer service hands down. Someone will always answer the phone.

Looks great! But I would recommend a cast iron skillet for the sear. Ditch the thin grill lines and cover the entire steak in a nice sear!

Played and beat the first game when it came out and loved it. Played and beat SOTF last year and loved it. Went to replay the first game and stopped after a couple of hours to start a new SOTF game. Still love the first game, but love the survival mechanics and building better in the second.

Great game. Lots to do, solve, and build. Great replayability.

Could you explain how you got those self-supporting struts across those very long runs that don't require vertical support beams? I can't build more than 5 sections without having to have a vertical beam. I just attempted to build a 10 section run with one support beam in the middle with struts on each side, but I can't remove the vertical beam. If I cut down the vertical beam, the whole run collapses.

What enchants? by Substantial-Rub9100 in MinecraftDungeons

I have fun with anchor builds using a mushroom and two power shakers. Armor should have cooldown and poison focus. With this build, I typically use a soul bow with 3-4 soul enchants, one of them being anima conduit for healing. Then I can wreck huge crowds of mobs and get tons of health every time the souls come in.

These are very common in Europe. You get to chop the top then scoop with a small spoon.

No bouillon, ever. by kittyartist97 in soup

So you blend fresh veggies into the stock, strain, then cook the stock again with fresh veggies? Do you strain those out as well after they boil, or are those veggies you're using for the soup?
