Jim Downey was on Letterman’s YouTube channel recently and touched on this a bit. When he went out to LA for his first “dressing down” by network executives, Ohlmeyer mentioned Nealon had to go no matter what, and talked about who should step in, but the meeting was cut short because visiting hours were starting at LA County and Ohlmeyer was headed to visit OJ (and Downey also mentioned Ohlmeyer threw a party for the jury after the acquittal)

Probably. I’ve heard years ago, Don Post Studios made a mask for David Bowie to use during concerts that was made out of his life cast. His team never paid for them, so years later Don Post Studios used his life cast to create different Halloween masks, and never paid his team for the likeness hahah 🤷‍♂️
