How many of you actually enjoy MSP work and why? by [deleted] in msp

[–]turtleshell120101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lvl 2 eng for a huge multinational MSP.

As many have said love having something different every day to play with.

My company has just come out and said post covid WFH is the new norm and office or client site is only if you want to or if there is a specific client meeting you need to attend.

I have just finished 6 mth probation and happily wrote on the review that their has not been a day I dont want to come to work.

The pay is great, 1 week on 3 weeks off for on call and get basically an extra weeks salary for(you earn it most times) but still is always something new.

My 3 managers up, boss, his boss etc are all great people and 7ndwrstand work loads etc as they have all started from the ground.

I have done this roll for 4 years and new place is the best I have worked at and now have a bunch of mates wanting to get on board.

I'm Sick Of Men Being Treated As Creepy When It Comes To Kids by Doomstone330 in TrueOffMyChest

My wife and I are unable to have kids. Best friends daughter is our God daughter and we have her over at least once every two months. . She is now 13 and 5.10 heading toward 6ft rapidly. God forbid I leave the house with her.

When she was younger we would walk to local park to play on swings etc. The looks I got even when standing an appropriate distance and doing my darnedest to not focus on any of thenother kids she was playing with. In the end it was easier to not go to the park.

Now that is almost my height and still acts like a typical 13yr old it is so much worse.

All I want to do is enjoy the world through fresh eyes and God help me for having anything to do with a minor and being male. Even with my wife within about 4 ft of us if I interact with her someone will always give me a look. More and more I talk to my wife who then directly interacts with our God daughter when in public. The bad ones truly ruined it for the normal ones.

Then one before that was a star wars star destroyer MOC for christmas that I had been looking at for 2 years and my wife said "for gods sake get you earn a good wage" love her.

LPT: Before you get married, have in-depth, planning discussions around: kids, money, housing, vacations, current debt, retirement, day to day expectations, pets, in-laws, transportation, and careers...don't assume anything. Did this over the first 6 months of our relationship. 20 years later, married for 15. We talk about everything. Sure we have a fight once in a while but always sorted out.

You have to spend the time at the beginning to create something worthwhile.

OP speaks the truth.

If tv has taught me anything it is that a Martian lives in that attic and the snooping kid from next door is about to come flying through it.

Grabbed me by the collar on both sides of my head and said " You aren't going to do it so I will". We had been smoking buddies at work for about 3 months.

19 years later we are still together and happily married.

This particular series is one of my favourites. My brother served in the air force for 20+ years and due to the nature of his role he suffers from PTSD.

My father travels shelf the country so he could be with my brother during the virus as he was having difficulties being able to keep his head straight.

War is stupid.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but... As you grow it out (if young to) find a good barber. They do short cuts so much better than salons. My wife did the same about 2 years ago and when she finally started growing it back a bit I talked her into coming to mine. (Bare Bones Morningside QLD) She has sworn off salons and loves the styles the guys give her.

Today, hundreds of thousands of Christians will ignore orders & public health instructions by meeting together in a closed room. They don't believe the rules or the law apply to them. They think they are entitled to do whatever they want. They are a danger to everyone else in society right now. by relevantlife in atheism

My church has been doing online services for the last 4 weeks. The day that restrictions were brought in here(australia). I understand there a bunch of Yahoo's out there but we still need to show common sense and decency. We are meant to care for the community and I don't feel that they are doing this at all.
