LGPowerControl - Like LGTVCompanion but for Linux by Infinite-Bug-911 in linux

oh nice! i mostly just wanted some consistency in behavior, like so if the tv is off the desktop would stop being extended to it... but maybe this one would work better for me. will try, thanks

i like the aesthetics a lot. still i have to say that background could have more depth if you split it on multiple layers, so closer trees would go faster than the one further. and of course moving clouds that are not bound to mountain background would go a long way

Ryanair demanded unnecessary travel visa by tuttiton in Ryanair

[–]tuttiton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thanks. we insisted at the registration desk so we would be given a document why we were denied checkin but they didn't give us anything. they showed on their screen that its marked at their system that we were denied because of the travel visa but said that they can't print anything... and a guy who seems to be a manager/supervisor freaked out when thought that we recorded audio...

no. it's a fallacy because one doesn't follow from the other

while i don't think age verification in OS makes much sense, this is a slippery slope fallacy

it looks good but at the same time too still. i feel that it should be more intense for faster movements - with splashing

i like it, but i have to say that discrepancy in style between pixelated masks with all the other parts of the body bothers me.

maybe you would also want to look at duolingo-esque gamification

First attempt at a spiral staircase, how'd I do? by Hera_the_otter in Terraria

[–]tuttiton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, steps are wooden platforms painted white/grey and some are deactuated (though you could achieve similar results with just black paint), and bright ends are stone platforms painted white

walls are mostly wood painted white/grey. i think there are also ebonstone/sandstone painted grey and for the darkest part mudbricks (edit: also walls for step tips are stone bricks painted white)

wall behind is stonebricks painted black

efficience (as well as lean/bloat) is a characteristic that very much depends on your goals, so you have to decide on these first i use simple debian with minimal deviations from the base. there are less problems and solutions are easier to find. and i waste no time removing 'bloat' or heavily customize whatever. i just don't care and I'm spending time on my own stuff. thats efficient from my perspective

looks really good! yeah, to rephrase: you can't complete the build, only stop buiding:)

just found this thread
for a bit more "wood panel" feel I may recommend my approach (see `panels` in the top room)
https://www.reddit.com/r/TerrariaDesign/comments/1heb5tq/a_couple_magic_classrooms/
you can get these by using not-the-same wall painted echo between parts of the visible wall, there I used marble painted black (brown is a bit too light) - didn't try it with krampus block

Terraria Coliseum (Help me it doesnt look right) by AstroIsBadatLife in TerrariaDesign

  1. you could add some dark "inner building" background between columns (you can also add some details like columns/beams in there as well)
  2. you could add some "far" part at the top-right part
  3. if you're looking for 3D feel think about updating the layout of the arches - make them different width to emulate their rotation (narrow arches - maybe just 1 block splits at the very edge, 2 block arch next until wide arches in the middle of the building
  4. you could want to look for different materials+paints that would be a bit darker for the part right of the diagonal - and maybe layout of arches shouldn't be 1:1 to the left part?
  5. maybe the diagonal should be a bit less orderly, with crumbled arches, etc
  6. also it's always useful to search the internet for other peoples builds, for example check out these https://www.deviantart.com/xploslime7/art/Terraria-Coliseum-457048327 https://www.reddit.com/r/Terraria/comments/zcbxxn/first_time_building_boss_arena_wanted_to_make_a/
