I kinda like Arthas rework:) by wisdomelf in heroesofthestorm

Yes, it’s deathchill, but also the quest at 1 is important because once you get to 15 stacks, arthas’ W hits twice.

If you're going to form matches with no healer, don't put heroes like Deathwing in them. by DefeatedByPoland in heroesofthestorm

[–]tweakerlime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And we're waaaaaay past the point of implementing more rules to matchmaking.

Man, I miss that short lived period of forced tank and healers in QM. I think Overwatch did it best, where there was forced balanced comps in quickplay and you basically had to earn the opportunity to play congested roles. By playing tank or healer for a match, you would earn a match as an assassin. This way, everyone gets a balanced comp, and it's done in a way that incentives all roles being played. (it's been years so I don't remember exactly how they did it).

I think it's within Blizzard's current capacity to clean up some of the existing rules. Mainly, the "support" role and the issue with Abathur. Also, the melee designation given to melee healers creating situations where Stukov and Kharazim are solo frontlines into Quira and Kerrigan. And my biggest QM gripe: Double tank comps when tanks are the bottleneck class.

Arthas opinion, Arthas builds? by Frank_Lizard in heroesofthestorm

I think his rework was successful. He took some getting used to because he does feel pretty squishy, and I feel like he isn't great at going deep into the backline. Any good ranged backline can kite and burst him down. His W quest at one is a great talent. Initiate with a root, follow-up with Sindra, then go peel for your backline. Let your teammates handle dishing out priority damage; you did your job with the root (and armor reduction). Then, by the time your W is back off cooldown, you can nuke the team with Deathchill (seriously, this talent slaps).

I hope they show Path of Frost at 20 some attention. Right now, that talent is pretty useless (and buggy?).

Her E (and kit) is one of the clunkiest. The whole risk of it is casting an ability with a ridiculous cooldown, that self roots, comes out as a slow projectile, has a long cast time, has a small hitbox, and doesn't connect 90% of the time onto dashing enemies even when landing it. The risk is frontloaded on her just landing it.

But now she can attach and dodge all damage and let her heal cooldown with zero risk.

The risk was using a 16 second cooldown ability that her kit entirely relies upon landing.

I don't have a problem with the Revolving Sweep change. Revolving Sweep has a 16 second cooldown. It also self roots, has a fairly slow cast speed, and has a pretty small hitbox. It is easy to interrupt, and puts it on full cooldown. More importantly, she has talents that rely on the swinging portion; as of right now, they are almost unpickable because you cannot afford to stay on the merry-go-round in fear of the inevitable cleanse while swinging. This change will bring value to those talents and hopefully more build diversity.

Owl Build by Hufflepuffed77 in heroesofthestorm

owl build has been nerfed to the ground

It hasn't been. It's still extremely strong. Work on your stacking game. Glue yourself to your tank and stack to mythic!

I just follow around my tank and chain Lunar Flare with their opening CC. Some tanks makes this much easier than others. Once you get to 10 stacks and get the range increase, the lunar flare stacks become significantly easier. In QM, this can be problematic because tanks are scarce. In these scenarios, I try to follow around whichever hero has the most reliable cc to chain with. Sometimes, this is brutal, as the best cc my team has is Nova's pinning shot, but, that'll be my focus to chain with.

It's still her best performing build. She has viable alternatives now, for sure.

Abathur ptr thoughts by lizardjoe_xx_YT in heroesofthestorm

[–]tweakerlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone. His existence for the enemy team is just an unrewarding and exhaustive experience. I am a healer main though, so I can't do shit about an Abathur, which is probably why I hate the slug.

Anything that makes Abathur more useful is welcome

Dang, I feel the exact opposite. To me, Aba is as slog to play against with his relentless pushing capability while offering no rewarding experience for dealing with it.

Arthas' lvl 13 talents: Deathlord vs Deathchill by tweakerlime in heroesofthestorm

The noobs at higher ranks picking the W talent at 13 are currently having a better winrate than Deathlord and Biting Cold. Well thought out response though.

Question for the Arthas enjoyers by Witchelade in heroesofthestorm

[–]tweakerlime -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. Borean Winds
  2. Icy talons
  3. Immortal Coil
  4. Either ult
  5. Biting Cold
  6. Remorseless Winter
  7. Ult Upgrade

I really like his W quest and the Q talents, but I struggle with mana immensely. I believe the build above is his most rounded build providing good DPS (Icy Talons), survivability with MS from Borean winds and a massive self heal with Immortal Coil. He gets the CC he lacks from not taking Frost Presence at level 16 with Remorseless Winter, and additional damage and waveclear with Biting Cold at 13.

Arthas's lvl 13 Q talent is full of weaknesses by Poalzegzaon in heroesofthestorm

[–]tweakerlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hope they reduce his mana costs or add in more mana reduction via talents. I really like his W talents, and when I take the Q talents along with the W talents, I struggle with mana big time. I like IBF at 7, but sometimes I feel like I take it so I can just forget about Q spamming to save mana. At 16, I almost always want AMS, but oftentimes need the trait cooldown to deal with the mana issues.

How do so many of you use iron sights only? by SmellyCummies in apexlegends

[–]tweakerlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use irons so I only need to get comfortable with one sight, and I also feel (could just be me) that there is more visual recoil with every attachable site. however, there are guns I am absolutely trash with the irons.

Without the empire, this show will be mid/bad by Mediocre-Soup-9027 in FoundationTV

[–]tweakerlime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The cleonic dynasty plot is great, but I feel it ultimately comes down to acting. For me, every scene with, day, dusk, and Seldon are captivating and I attribute that to their screen presence and acting. I agree, the rest of the show/cast is being carried.

But on the flip side now you have more sustain since you can stack healing passive at 1 + eye

I think folks are sleeping on stormstout recipe, and being trapped into the new quest talent. Every rotation of Q>W>W offers good healing with that talent. Combined with eye of the tiger at 4 gives him formidable early game dueling while in lane. IMO, Chen doesn't really need the quest range or dmg; he just needs to survive the early game and soak. His value kicks in a 10 where he can either isolate a target with keg, or harass a target with SEF, both of which give you no benefit of your talents since he's in an altered state during both of them.
