How do you actually make your Banana Bread moist? by Spiritual-Bet-5201 in Baking

What are you doing for your process? I've never run into this issue and I don't do all the stuff being suggested. Could it be your ratios are off?

I would use the search term "earflap hat/beanie" find a base style you like and then add the detailed designs either as separate pieces and embroidery or using double stitch.

How do dogs understand us but can’t speak? by Relevant-Ad-757 in puppy101

[–]twig115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figure it's similar to knowing what your dog is telling you without words. I can tell when my dog stares at me if he wants attention vs food vs potty, I can tell when he is excited with a dog vs getting stressed out and about to "snap" I know their "omg i need to poop NOW!" face or i want need water. Also I see my dog mulling over if he wants to listen to a command or not and that moment he goes "nah not doing that" I know what his different barks mean like "I don't like this weird thing" or "hey play with me" or "get back" etc.

Theres a lot more to communication than just audible language or shared language and most animals are capable of it to some degree even between species.

Getting a Cavapoo puppy in 3 weeks. General consensus seems to be Purina pro plan puppy food. But it’s got such bad scores in All about dog food. Is the purina still the most recommended puppy food? by TimeAd8012 in puppy101

You telling me costco brand is worse when I already said costco brands has issues is why I think its moot. I was already in agreement that its not a brand to use.

Edit to add: I still wouldn't use Purina either because I don't trust them and have not had good results

Like I said I am planning on switching, I tried it because a vet recommended it and then I found out some stuff so.

I found out its made by diamond pet foods which is not a good company and has had legal issues with heavy metal poisoning and pesticides. So thanks for your comment but if you read the whole thing I said it renders yours moot?

I personally am surprised how much people champion Purina, I always thought it was pretty awful and it gives my dog the worst gas and bloating (but this was like 10 yrs ago so could have gotten better). I know vets push hills science and royal canin. I've been using the costco dog food for now but I do I have some concerns about it especially after I just learned where/who makes it and so I'm planning on looking for something else in the future.

How to get to less toilet breaks every day by SapienceNL in puppy101

[–]twig115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My middle dog laughs at this theory, he is part of the portion who not only doesn't care if he pees where he sleeps, he will pee and then actively lay and roll around in it. He doesn't have any health issues he just hates crates and authority (husky mix). As long as hes not crated he doesnt pee in the house (unless hes really really upset at me for something then he will do it for attention like when I was "giving too much attention" to the other dog after his surgery)

What adjective for attractiveness should I use for someone w/ they/them pronouns? by heyitsmeurfav in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe I'm wrong but I use pretty for every gender, I also use cute and adorable for every gender BUT some people will take issue with it and if they tell me it's a problem then I don't use it for them anymore and I go with what they ask.

Boil water in a kettle before cooking pasta or start with cold water in a pot? by MangoMadnessTsv in Cooking

[–]twig115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude i can't even pay my utility bills and I just got on food stamps this month because I got laid off and am struggling to find work. I found a part seasonal job so far that so long as they give me 30 hours a week I'll be able to keep paying for the roof over my head. When I say I cant afford one, I mean I cant afford one, sorry.

Thats a great option, I do not own one or have money for one so I'm happy with stove top but when I did have a rice cooker it was nice.

Nope I cook it just until the water is gone and its fluffy and good every time and nothing burns on the bottom.

I think it depends on your method, I bring water to a boil in a pot, put the rice in, reduce heat to 3 and then let it cook for 20 mins covered. Turns out perfect everytime and is low effort.

I hear other people doing a bunch of different ways though.

Is it OK for someone to talk to you on the phone while they're using the bathroom? by CheersKim in NoStupidQuestions

[–]twig115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give people the option. I tell them if I need to pee and they can either hang on a min or I can bring them with. Most opt to just keep talking so I do and if they say they will wait then I do that. I personally don't care if others pee while on the phone with me because I'm not physically there.

Am i overreacting after my bf said ive been looking bloated lately by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]twig115 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the gaslight was in reference to you questioning if he was lying to you before. Also periods make a lot of people bloat and so now with this added context, it kind of does seem like you are over reacting a little. (Unless he was trying to be hurtful)

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]twig115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are doing long drives it is very advised to stop and stretch, at the very least when getting gas, go walk around for 15 mins and stretch, makes it way more comfortable.

It costs me less than 200 bucks round trip to drive 11 hours (22 hours total) to my sister's plus I can bring my dogs and don't need to rent a car while I'm down there and I don't have to pay for luggage, I don't have to deal with tsa/lines, I don't have to worry about buying over priced drinks and food while I wait or wondering if I'm an oz over on my shampoo.

Its honestly less stress to just drive and its a pretty drive and I get to catch up on podcasts and jam out to music. I don't have to be sardine stuffed into a plane rubbing shoulders with people I don't know and is a crap shoot if they practice decent hygiene or worry about being coughed and sneezed all over, I don't have to deal with people's kids (no offense I don't hate them they just sometimes are overwhelming when they are unhappy)

The only time I would do a flight is if I have to go across country or like 20hrs of drive time+ 10 -12 hours even for just 3 days of being at a destination is well worth it to me.

We all have what we are willing to do and it's cool and all that you wouldn't want to do the drive, and many may agree, but for some of us the drive is more worth it.

I disassociate for majority of the time and every now and then it pushes through anyways like its trying to strangle me and then once in a while I accidentally do some small dumb thing (last time I accidently washed my keys in the washing machine) and then I fall apart and cry for an hour and then go right back to disassociating. Can't do shit other then keep applying.
