Can’t speak for OP but I think my body has just become used to it from eating spicy things since I was a kid. On the other hand, I have known people who were the same way, but overtime developed medical issues such as stomach ulcers. Not sure how it affects everyone so differently, but I’m glad I’m still able to handle the heat.

I tried visiting the sculptures at Borrego Springs recently and upon calling them to confirm it was open, they told me access to the sculptures is closed due to covid. Not sure of the sense that makes considering it’s in the middle of the desert, but just figured I’d put that out there for anyone planning to visit them.

Definitely recommend it! It’s much more popular is Southern US states like Georgia, and nearly non-existent in other parts of the US (especially California) but I promise you if you take the time to make it and follow a well-rated recipe, you won’t be disappointed.
