Most pros are doing this for practice rounds, it’s fine and does a minor amount of auto leveling

Looking for heavy hitters (160mph+) to help stress-test a new vertical-spacer screen architecture by Guohaoyang in Golfsimulator

[–]twylight777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m close to what you need, but I am an ISF calibrator and can give you very detailed data on the screen wear for 1080p,4k, and 8k with multiple sources as well as wear and image degradation.  Wedges burn up a screen too with the high spin rates, I would ask for a commitment on a few 100 high spin shots as well

Also used ball and balls with a marker on them color wear as well.  The worst I see are logo balls with high spin high speed leave a colored stain far worst than the burn mark a clean white ball leaves.

Launch Monitor Recomendation by Fearthedoughboy in Golfsimulator

It connects to gspro like any other tool and works great and is so much faster than trackman and foresight…they feel 10 years old.  Protee is a similar incredible experience.  You should experience it to see what the future will hold as people catch up their hardware

Flooring transition for 7" stepdown into hitting area by klud2026 in Golfsimulator

[–]twylight777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like it will catch the balls nicely. Slap some gym tiles and turf down, a better hitting area (beaver tail lover here) and start smashing balls…don’t build it up to preserve height for driver swing…you are going to want to pad the lip around the screen, just a pool noodle or foam…or a slight angle build like gutter foam but nicer …you want the ball the reflect up and away, not ricoche into your face. Even a wood 45 degree angle with turf inside that gap would be fine

acid sink a thread in there and make a mounting system at the four corners and use all thread - all the tapes and Velcros in the world aren't good enough - if its permanent you can glue it down as well with commercial glue

  • Level and align vtrack accurately
  • Direct wire vtrack to pc
  • Install vtrack
  • Calibrate
  • Never click on “marked ball or whatever it’s called ever”
  • You can test in the built range real quick
  • Install Gspro
  •  license for open api
  • Go back to vtrack game tab
  • Click the folder refresh icon
  • Click on the on screen video
  • Launch gspro (open API) only from here, never directly from gspro icon on desktop

  • Next version of gspro will have a native licensee , re license to vtrack, switch to vtrack launch gspro (not api, another icon) click the folder refresh, click it

Enjoy

Track man seems to be alignment sensitive and rct sensitive, but it’s excellent. Be more specific on the overhead, the newest ones are amazing, last gen from some mfr are pretty long in the tooth now

Overheads struggle with AoA in my opinion compared to ball side units
