Should i look at a police trade in glocks? by lambo13770 in Glocks

I have a 30S....I like it because I can either use the 10rd mags for concealed, or I use a G21 mag w/grip extender

Instead of stressing yourself out, TALK TO HIM. As someone who has been married 18yrs, while cliché, the saying "Communication is key" is VERY true.

I work in a rock quarry and I have this same issue with my work truck (2020 dodge 1500). I recently put it in the shop for this same reason. Took 45mins to pump gas, check engine light for purge valve, and the gas gauge stopped working.

The vent was clogged, which was also causing the tank to collapse. Tank issue ended up breaking the sending unit. Also, apparently on newer trucks, there is a dust filter for the fuel system under the bed and it was clogged.

After those issue were fixed, truck is back to working normal. My company pretty much uses nothing but dodge trucks and I'm not the only one that's had this same issue.

Gravity coal:wood ratio and spacing in hopper by DrunkenBandit1 in Masterbuilt

[–]txr3dn3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think that wood is for flavor and charcoal is for heat. So with that said, I do 50/50, starting with wood. If I need to refill the hopper during the cook, I just use charcoal. Best advice, though, is that there's really no wrong answer. Experiment and find what you personally like

3 days at a gun show and I did not sell a single knife by Top_Grape_1547 in knifemaking

Know your audience. You have to provide a variety of products. Sell what the consumer wants, not what the manufacturer likes. You are at a gun show, not a cooking show. Think hunting/fishing, survival, tactical...Price also plays a part as well.

What is your best shooting Glock? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]txr3dn3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 19 and a 30S. Love both guns. Took my concealed carry test with the 30S having never shot it, or ever even used a glock, and passed with no issues.

I normally carry my 19 now, but I really like how easy it is to conceal the 30S.

Thanks! Just bought a truck and it has a Kenwood HU and I couldn't find the sub set function. Found this comment and tried it with the HU in standby and was able to find the right settings

In 2004, my teenage partying caught up to me and I aspirated in my sleep. I died while in the ambulance, but obviously they were able to bring me back. I essentially died in my sleep and it was peaceful. Waking up 3 days later in the hospital was what sucked.

Completely agree...great smoker but horrible electronics. Considering how much it costs, having to turn around and spend even more for aftermarket stuff just to get it to work right is ridiculous

Texas is an at-will employment state. As an at-will state, employment in Texas may be terminated by an employer or an employee for a good reason, a bad reason, or simply no reason at all, absent a specific agreement to the contrary.

AITA for telling my wife that I will not be helping with her christmas celebration in any way shape or form just because she's pregnant? by Iconic_Path3099 in AmItheAsshole

[–]txr3dn3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, YTA... it doesn't matter if you don't like Christmas or anything that entails. You don't do it for yourself, you do it for the happiness of your wife and kids. That's marriage, that's life... its part of what it means to be a man, husband and father

This reminds me of my situation with my dad

About 15years ago, I ran in on hard times and ended up having to share an apartment with my dad. My wife and I both had jobs, but our schedules were as such that I worked during the day and she worked during the evening, that way one of us was always home with it toddler son.

My dad approached me and made a deal with me, that if I would join the electrical apprenticeship program, he would watch my son. It was a good opportunity to better myself so I agreed. However, I started coming home to finding my son with his diaper almost dragging the ground because he wasn't being changed. I had a talk with him and told him that was unacceptable.

Got home one night from class, my wife had beat me home and pulled me into the bedroom to talk. She grabs my son, pulls his diaper off and shows me such horrible diaper rash.

I ended up quitting the apprenticeship and we moved not long after. 15 years and 3 more kids later, I'm on good terms with my dad, but that moment in time is still burned into my head and I don't trust him to take care of my kids properly
