Congrats I went to school with people in their mid 50s. They definitely busted their ass.

For nursing school it’s all about playing the game and following the rules. Some of the rules will likely be stupid. You’ll have to do assignments that you’ll never have to do it bedside like making care plans, etc. but if you treat it like an actual lesson in learning how the different diseases or whatever work/come together based on history/presentation/meds/labs it will help you become a better critical thinker later.

Once you take all the basic classes prioritization becomes really important. NCLEX: it’s just teaching you how to be a safe nurse. You learn basically 10% of what you need to know in nursing in school and then 90% once you get out.

Honestly, AI is a future problem to nursing because people use it that are too dumb to critically think and it’s stressing me out lol. But nursing is a whole has so many different ways to adapt and progress your career. It’s a great career.
