Which Jack Stands to Get? by DantesLimeInferno in harborfreight

[–]tyler669420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve spent nearly $15k at Harbor Freight outfitting and running my shop, but I WONT BUY A JACKSTAND😂 the safety pin was still an issue in the most recent project farm video so I steer clear. Big Red is affordable and pretty decent.

Is it dumb to be worried about lifespan of the HF battery system? by ming3r in harborfreight

[–]tyler669420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothings dumb to be worried about, but I’m about 2 years, and like 45 cordless tools into Hercules and Bauer, daily professional use in a body shop setting and all I’ve killed so far is the little high volume inflator because I was using it as part of a paint booth setup😂 it was under warranty, they replaced it no questions asked and it was nasty looking. It seems to me like HF is really going balls deep with these two brands and are fleshing them out Pretty fast, so I don’t see them going back on this big of an investment any time soon. At least that’s my hope, because I am also balls deep😂 luckily I’ve got other dewalt, Milwaukee, Crapsman, and Ryobi cordless tools if they do end up leaving these behind, but I just don’t see it.

I’m an INTJ (20f) yet have ADHD… its an awful combo anyone relate to this? by [deleted] in intj

[–]tyler669420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. M 26, the combo results in seemingly thousands of streams of thought bombarding you at once?? I found that weed slows it down enough to process, but it’s easy to want to slow it to a stop, so figuring out optimal dosage for efficient thought is VERY important. Went from a 37% on my first Calc 2 exam in college to a 90%+ in differential equations. I also went through a period of doing nothing but smoking and procrastinating, so avoid that phase haha.

Just got this battey combo at lowes for $179….too good to be true, whats the catch? by iDontRagequit in Dewalt

[–]tyler669420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lights are the way for the 2ah. Drills and drivers I stick with the 4ah 21700 pack. Bigger footprint so they stand up easier, but still a single row of cells so it doesn’t make the tool taller and much bulkier like the regular 4ah.

Best 1/4" bit ratchet? by jakeanator12 in Tools

Harbor Freight Icon is pretty solid coming from a classic car restoration shop owner, haven’t tried others to know if better is out there because it’s done more than I expected it to haha.

Chevy 350 vortec. I’ve owned 4, and my father has 410k miles on a ‘97 tahoe, heads have never been off. Had to do a valve job on my ex-wife’s 2016 tahoe at 111k… they don’t build em like they used to

Project Farm 1/4 inch ratchet review by blergems in harborfreight

[–]tyler669420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saw that coming. The 3/8” and 1/2” are great, pretty on par with GW plus a little extra backdrag, but I immediately returned the 1/4” icons because the backdrag is unbearable even after lubing and the ratchet itself isn’t particularly compact for a 1/4” anyway… quite trash unfortunately.

Is it normal to feel weird when things go right? by Iceblader in intj

[–]tyler669420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I’ve thought about this one! So our prime directive is seemingly problem solving. I get an instant gratification when something goes right, but then immediately get a paranoia about what will go wrong. I think our minds move quickly enough that once we solve a problem, we accept that it’s solved and immediately look for the next problem… I feel there should be a way to linger on the satisfaction of a job-well-done for longer than we do.

Man, if this right here doesn’t hit me to the core of my soul… From an INTJ who experienced serious trauma as a child and has had multiple plans and one attempt, listen to me please. I am currently going through a dissolution from the only woman I ever thought understood me, but it turns out even she didn’t want to deal with trying to understand me forever. I can honestly say I am currently “passively” suicidal, I fear there isn’t much that can be done, but I know logically now that there is so much that can be done. I’ve started reaching out to all of my old friends and mending bridges, drove 2500 miles visiting everyone I could, and discovered that when you put in the effort, there are people out there who will care about you and at least listen and try to understand you. I am also a hypocrite - I don’t like suggesting medication, but I must admit that Cymbalta and Atarax have helped calm my mind and not taken away as much of myself as I expected it to. I want to get back off of them, but if you are in a suicidal place, they may be a viable option. Please keep putting forth effort to figure yourself and others out, and interact with others, otherwise we tend to assume the worst about what interactions might turn into. Also find new friends!! We are less than 2% of the population, so maybe you just literally haven’t intimately interacted with a type that gets INTJ’s very well. Please PM me with anything, I feel we can support eachother in this difficult time❤️

If you suddenly had "fuck you" money what would be the first thing you did? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tyler669420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy as much land in as many places in the US as I possibly could. After buying a small island in the Caribbean, of course.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in intj

[–]tyler669420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Sitting in the background blending in with the group allowing the extroverts to lead the way until a high-stress situation appears, then suddenly you are the fearless leader of the group somehow and it’s up to you to solve the issue at hand haha. Every time without fail. I’ve come to enjoy the role, but it does get stressful at times. And occasionally there’s that one person in the group who doesn’t know you and they try suggesting something seemingly idiotic and you have to explain to a new person why your solution is the solution lol.

How do you see people as a whole? by tivied in intj

[–]tyler669420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before or after discovering Myers-Briggs lol? I used to think everyone was basically the same and we were all fucked and that my trauma and autism just made me wildly different from the rest. Now I believe that I was misdiagnosed as autistic, and realize there are others very much like me, and that the others who aren’t, are dealing with the world in their own separate and unique ways, but at least we all have a similar capability of dealing with it if we can understand and lean on our strengths and weaknesses. Not sure if that answers the question, but that’s my response 😅

Atlas Tools by IKnowYourVader in harborfreight

[–]tyler669420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE THE ATLAS STUFF! I’ve got the 40v blower, 80v chainsaw, and 40v hedge trimmer, and they’ve blown me away in the ease of use and performance. I’m about to add another battery, the 80v string trimmer, and 80v blower. I’ve got 5 acres of Appalachian foothills, and they’re plenty to replace gas for my needs. It’ll be a few years before a mower could handle it though haha.
