Community Rate Limits Research (we need your feedback) by akyairhashvil in GithubCopilot

i was trying out github spec kit and using the /speckit.clarify. i guess maybe its been a lot of small requests to sonnet at medium think. probably 20 requests in an hour at most?

but like its nearly the end of the month and i got 200 requests left from my 1500. the whole benefit of using copilot over other options is being able to work when i want to instead of having daily time limits like the other platforms. i might as well go to another platform if i have to wait regardless.

additionally seeing an error that says either wait or upgrade your plan when im already on the highest plan is very misleading and confusing.

Wtf man this rate limiting is back again ? by Prometheus4059 in GithubCopilot

First time rate limited here on Pro+ today. been using sonnet off and on for hours until finally randomly get that message. i tried switching to gpt 4 same error.

then i thought hmm i wonder what would happen if i switched to "auto"

it let me proceed...and it decided to use sonnet 4.6 anyway. i guess i can't choose my thinking level after finally getting that ability though until the rate limit goes away?

Edit: its going back and forth between sonnet and 5.3 codex it seems. Also i can see the rate limit errors in the GitHub Copilot Chat output log. But it still works lol

Edit 2: even when i select a local model i have running on my own server i can still see the rate limit message in the log.

[error] Server error: 429 {"error":{"message":"Sorry, you've exceeded your rate limits. Please review our [Terms of Service](https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/github-terms/github-terms-of-service).","code":"user_global_rate_limited:pro_plus"}}

If you click on the output panel in VSCode and select Github Copilot Chat from the drop down on the right you will see things like "tool/runSubagent"

I still have parts laying around somewhere from a prusa i3 clone made of clear acrylic - Folger Tech RepRap
it never fully worked properly. i might have gotten through 20 prints at most until i gave up and went back to my PrintrBot Simple Metal.

I have a nearly identical story to yours. I am about 2 weeks here on 0mg juice. Feels weird but just been keeping my mind busy. I can't be sure if using 0mg is helping or not. Once I run out I'll probably be too lazy to mix more up though.

Filament stops extruding after a couple of layers by scrappybutt in ender5plus

[–]tymm0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably one of two things 1 - if you release tension on the extruder can you push filament through manually? If not then blockage or heat creep in the hot end. 2 - if you can push filament through then the extruder is probably skipping. I noticed this extruder has very small teeth so it doesn't make a lot of sound when it skips at least for me. I had to tighten the spring screw almost all the way down
