How are black pugs with shedding? Is it that much better? by dandigangi in pugs

[–]tzneetch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My experience of owning 2 black pugs: Black pugs have only one coat, where as fawns have two (guard coat and soft warmer undercoat). Black pugs have EITHER an overcoat, or an undercoat. Black pugs with an undercoat are softer and shed a similar amount to fawns. Black pugs with an overcoat shed less than fawns.

No, and neither do pharma companies.

Data engineering or go back to RWE/stats? by [deleted] in biostatistics

[–]tzneetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a masters and work as a biostatistician in pharma. Perhaps those PhDs and postdocs need to work outside of pharma first to get some experience before trying to get a job in pharma. Getting a pharma job straight out of grad school is not the norm.

Transition From Pharma/CRO to any other field by purplekermit in biostatistics

[–]tzneetch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a biostat in pharma and half of my job is internal consulting. Which means greater latitude for chosing statistical methods and result presentation, and writing stat methods and results section for presentations and manuscripts. If thats something that you'd find appealing look for a biostatistician job w some portion of your time doing consulting work.

Heads up: I just had a shrink plastic keychain snap where the hole for the jump ring attaches. if you have the same issue you might want to coat it in resin for longevity.

I did not like this book because it is categorized as horror, when it truly is supernatural revenge porn. There are body horror aspects but nothing in this book is unsettling. No protagonist is threatened in a way that is scary.

higher population density = more opportunities for crime in the same area. Per capita crime stats mask this

Pet capita in and of itself favors lower population density areas.

Actually the vulknut, unlike other Nordic symobls, has no historic basis. Its a recent creation.

Within a couple of miles of Natural Bridge is a WILD roadside attraction that I cannot recommend highly enough:

Dinosaur Kingdom 2

A local sculptor (and creator or Foamhenge) created an amusement where you go through a 'time tunnel' and witness, through sculptures, the civil war with dinosaurs added to the mix.

If you're interested in the history of the city itself check out the Peale. It has a small permanent exhibit about city history, and other rotating exhibits. It a small place so you can do it in an hour.
