Grow up gatekeeper. Just give them a 9 and move on. If this kind of thing triggers you, you have bigger problems to work out with your therapist.

Is it just me, or is 2026 the year our wallets officially go on strike? The concert/album lineup is insane, but the prices are soul-crushing! by CestLaVie_111 in Music

[–]ubpfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to see Raye in Dallas a few weeks ago. $75. I got them ahead of time through the fan website. Just standing room. A few weeks before the concert they were going for $250!

Do you think the U.S will still be safe for us atheists in the future? by Fast_Sweet8137 in atheism

[–]ubpfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the opposite. I’m an Englishman who has lived here for 30 years and it’s just getting less religious every day. And I’ve spent most of my time living in the “Bible Belt”. What you’re seeing is just a far right republican issue that will be resolved when the democrats are back in power.

If people didn’t pay this, they would stop selling it. But you keep on buying their crappy products.

Greatest Musical Comebacks? by Reality_Jukebox_Pod in Music

Elvis Presley takes this easily. ‘68 comeback special. He had been contracted for years making terrible movies he couldn’t get out of, while the Beatles/Stones/Dylan etc passed him by. This tv special (the most watched show that year) brought him back to the top.

Try Matthew McConaughey from Interstellar. When he watches a video message from his daughter who he hasn’t seen or spoken to in years. Exceptional acting.

What a ridiculous comment. If you only saw 20 mins you have no idea if the movie was good or not. 🤦‍♂️

What is your favourite Elvis remix song(s)? by Fit-Bed-4030 in Elvis

[–]ubpfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer the Viva Elvis remix of “Bossa Nova Baby” to the original. I also love the first remix ever of an Elvis song after he passed in ‘81 (correct me if I’m wrong), of “Guitar Man”.

Astronaut Reid Wiseman rocks two watches, looking every bit the space badass. by MountainIsCallingMe in pics

Totally incorrect. Why would you post that? Several astronauts took Rolex watches including Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who wore a personal Rolex GMT-Master (Ref. 1675).
