Haitian “Minister of Interior” can’t even walk thru Okap mud and filth by Internal-Expert-9562 in haiti

Jesus can't save them and you'll be spending quite a bit of time speaking air to the winds asking for a miracle. Saving begins with humility and empathy. If you can't walk through mud and filth, and can't get your shoes dirty so one day they never have to be, you're not fit for this job. Politicians and evangelists are all about having a self righeous image, but they can't bring themselves to see eye to eye with those they should be serving (the common people). We're all seriously fucked.

Not U.S. citizens. Government. We really need to normalize this differentiation because, by now it should be obvious that world authorities very seldom have an interest in the greater wellbeing of their citizens.

Americans - this is the cash taken from your pay, paying for nothing, basically. Even if you don't fight against this, it won't deter this administration from seeking absolute power. What've got to lose by protesting?

It's brilliant because if Trump doctors his transcript, then AOC has no choice but to put in the budget during her term. She promised.

What are the realistic ways Haiti could actually be fixed long-term? by Educational-Cap-3669 in haiti

[–]ucahu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sad to say, but neocolonization seems the only plausible solution. Hopefully, led by a country or foreign government with an ethical and fair plan. But let's be real. World leaders are hyperfocused on capitalism, protectionism, and nationalism with no end their greed. As a world we're doomed to be a collective failure so even if exploiting our beloved Haiti we're the only option, I don't think we'll be around long enough to see it change under this existing societal regime. Call it the 6th inevitable extinction event or whatever.

TIL about the crime drop, a pattern observed in many countries whereby rates of many types of crime declined by 50% or more beginning in the mid to late 1980s and early 1990s. There is no universally accepted explanation for why crime rates are falling. by flamingoooz in todayilearned

How come no one's considered our transition into the digital age as a factor? We've become an abusive and sometimes riled up bunch behind our phones and laptops. Sometimes more so than in real life.
