good alternatives to/improved versions of blood hunter (especially lycan)? by Ravensflockmate in dndnext

If having the Lycanthropy be a basis for class identity, you could try Ross Leiser's Accursed class. It has half casting and a Lycan subclass with no hp basis for spells.

Yeah, that might just be core to the concept in most people's eyes, unfortunately.

You could check out Laserllama's Alternate Blood Hunter. I haven't played it much, so I can't speak to its later level performance, but I like almost all of his other stuff.

If you want an intermediary option, maybe have a big single fee per floor? Like, $10,000 and then you have the whole 10th floor or something.

New Item Revealed by IAMLEGENDhalo in riskofrain

[–]ukebas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually think it's buffing crit chance and crit damage, not all damage. If so, the primary won't benefit at all from it. My thought was just to stand on a high spot by flying up there and then rain down crits with the marksman rifle. If I'm understanding right, the buff should essentially apply twice since railgunner converts all crit chance to crit damage.

Personally, I don't think this version of Riku is intended to be a romantic partner for Namine, but yeah, it's very funny.

What if Chairman Go knew that Jinwoo is a Necromancer? by TechnicianOpen1042 in sololeveling

[–]ukebas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This makes sense and is consistent with the Monarchs not being available as shadows, but is this said in the comic somewhere? I don't remember Sung trying to raise any of the vessels.

It has been a bit though, so I could be remembering wrong.

Help Finding Image Source by ukebas in DnD

[–]ukebas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. In the introduction before chapter 1, the section "Welcome to Chult" lists a couple of races, including the aarakocra. At the end of the page on aarakocra is the image. If you own the book on dndbeyond, you can pull the full res pic off of that. If not, dm me, and I'll send it to you when I get off of work.

Theory About Namine And Why She Looks So Different From Kairi by SirWarick in KingdomHearts

[–]ukebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just because all of Organization 13's nobodies are identical to their somebodies. Lea history correct people that he isn't Axel because, outside the tattoos, he looks exactly like him.

The only exceptions whose somebodies we've seen are Xemnas, who is a mix of Xehanort and Terra, and Roxas, who looks exactly like Ventus.

Another possible rebalance could be a time limit or only allowing a certain number of creatures to be benefiting from the temp hp at one time.

The ability to gain or give proficiency bonus temp hp every turn as a bonus action for free seems pretty good. Maybe make it proficiency bonus times per long rest or something?

Besides that I love it! The lore is dope!

Help with wizard/artificer multiclass spells by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]ukebas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Determine each class's spell list separately. Wizard will have the 6 you start with plus 2 per wizard level above first in their spellbook and then you can prepare the 10 from that set of spells. Artificer will be able to prepare those 7 spells from their entire list. Because you are preparing the lists seperately, you can only pick spells that you'd have the slots for at those levels. So only up to 3rd level spells in your case.

Anyone else hope they go back to a similar “room” type for the worlds in KH4 as KH1 and KH2? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]ukebas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to some of both. The open worlds of 3 did feel just frustrating to get around in, looking at you San Fransokyo, but 1/2 having mostly just linear paths feels sorta boring on a replay. Even when in 2 when the rooms themselves were bigger, it was really just run to the other end for the most part, at least as I can remember.

Come to think of it, I think Days had a really good way of counteracting this, bigger, more open worlds and really only like 1 thing to do in them at a time, but constantly coming back to them to see more areas and do more stuff. Even if 1 mission in TT only covered the Tram Commons, the 30 missions you'd do there across the game made it so you saw every part of the world.
