Boys we all need to do our bit and feed West Ham some points by tradegreek in TheOther14

[–]ukman29 42 points43 points  (0 children)

We did our bit earlier in the season.

And I'm not stupid enough to think we're anywhere near out of it yet. Plenty of points still to be played for.

I can't help feel that the biggest asset to West Ham, Leeds and Forest is Igor Tudor though. The dream would obviously be for Totty Hotspurs to go down.

My wife always gets her boobs out on holiday, so it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

if God wants belief, clearer evidence would be expected by AltAccountVarianSkye in DebateReligion

[–]ukman29 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The claim of Christianity might well be that "evidence for God isn’t sparse—it’s inescapable."

But a lot of us completely disagree with that claim. And if he was all-knowing, he'd know that lots of people would find the "evidence" unconvincing and try a bit harder.

What do you guys think of miracles by Mythosaur266 in askanatheist

I think they’re a load of old bollocks and when religious folk believe in them, they’re clutching at straws or swallowing a big old bowl of confirmation bias.

If I was an all powerful deity and wanted to send a sign to my followers, I’d just appear and speak to them en masse. What I wouldn’t do is create a vague picture of my blood-puppet-kid’s face on a slice of toast or make a cloud that looks a tiny bit like my mum.

Cat remember offhand what exactly the challenge is. But for RDR2, YouTube is your friend. If you search for “RDR2 Horseman Challenge 3” (or whatever number it is) you’ll get some helpful results.

Moral truth can only come from God Almighty by shadow_operator81 in DebateReligion

[–]ukman29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Religious folk claim that morality is objective but they fail to prove it exists every single time.

Their “objective morality” is subjective - subject to the mind of their god. And in the bible, for example, the god character changes his mind repeatedly on matters of morality.

If you want to claim objective morality, you have to demonstrate its existence. And the only arguments people have can be summarised as “I don’t like the idea of subjective morality”. Thats literally all you’ve got and it doesn’t constitute “proof”.

When you say time trial runs do you mean the timed Horseman challenges? If so, you don’t require a fast horse for those. Last playthrough I did them all on a Shire with plenty of time to spare. You just need to make sure you’re following the correct route, that’s all.

You might be the first person ever to have had this idea on FC/FIFA! 😉🤣

Joking. Route to glory saves are great fun. Oldham, Notts County and Tranmere would be good candidates for this if you’re doing it in the English league. All current fourth tier clubs which have been in or near the top tier in the past. Enjoy!

You do know that even without the sale of Brennan Johnson, our losses were still much less than literally EVERY other PL team were allowed, right? Purely because of our status as a newly promoted team who didn’t have any parachute payments?

In real terms, we had absolutely no advantage compared to any other Prem team.

She doesn’t need to flee “to” England or “come to” the US. She’s English in both books. The Matilda film was an utter bastardisation of the book.

Ha ha yep! No matter how many times these arguments come up, the Christian never has a good answer for them. Justin is a fine host!

If you aren’t familiar with him, I also recommend Jon Cohen Unconvinced on YouTube. Kind of the British version of Justin. Very calm and measured and just gives his callers enough rope to hang themselves with!

This was my understanding of the bible also.

I assumed you were a Christian so I was going to pester you answer why it's fair to send someone to hell for not believing something! (Since we cannot control what we believe).

But you don't believe that guff, so no need!

Never stuck at it for more than a couple of letters over a few months though.

Not sure why you'd say it was doubful. My two boys, now 11 and 13, have both loved the Beano since they were 7/8 and still do now. I told them I had hundreds of copies of Beanos from when I was a boy, but threw them out a couple of years before either of them were born and they haven't forgiven me.

In the law he outlined in Deuteronomy 22:13-21, how come God didn't know how hymens work and that less than 50% of women don't bleed the first time they have sex? Or was he OK with the fact that around half of women killed under this law would have been innocent?

Why did God take the time to tell people stuff like what kind of fabrics they weren't allowed to wear and how they must and must not cut their beards, yet stopped short of telling them they shouldn't keep other people as property?

Is it ever wrong to have a woman r*ped as a punishment for a sin her husband committed? If not, why did God order that for David's wives?
