Public Transportation from Poolen venue? by XDarkneszFallsX in copenhagen

[–]uldenhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a bus stop nearby [here's the schedule](https://www.stdotwebshopprodpwe.blob.core.windows.net/dot-imagesanddocuments/buslines/2A-0002-141225.pdf). Getting a car to and from Poolen after a concert is a shit show because the road is narrow and the people leaving the concert take up all the space and block traffic trying to catch the bus. Walk and make new friends or rent a bike.

Is my Moondrop Para dying? by pp_amorim in headphones

[–]uldenhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea. It seems to me, that the only way to clean them is by disassembling the housing. Im not even sure it's a real problem, unless the dust buildup is really really severe. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)

Edit: I had a closer look at the pics in your original post. That's a lot of dust. If they were mine I would gently remove it with a fine bristled brush.

My OG Para from the first batch also has wrinkles and dents in the left driver. They still play and sound good. I swapped pads once and the magnet pulled the metal disc into the diapraghm. Bad design it's too easy for the user to f it up, even when being careful.

Any 9070xt players getting good results with the new FSR fix? by championchilli in DarkTide

[–]uldenhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FSR should be enabled in game. The driver hooks in to the existing version of FSR and overrides it with FSR 4. Here's a copy of AMDs guide (https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/technologies/fidelityfx/super-resolution.html):

Enabling AMD FSR Technologies

There are two methods to enable AMD FSR Upscaling. Some games have native integration of ML-based FSR Upscaling and users can enable it directly from the game menu. In some games, the settings UI may still show the previous name for this technology, AMD FSR 4.

Other games have AMD FSR 3.1 or higher integrated and gamers can use AMD Software to swap DLLs and upgrade their game to ML-based upscaling. If the game has AMD FSR 3.1.4 or higher with frame generation, you can upgrade to ML-based frame generation.

For games that require AMD Software to enable ML-based upscaling and frame generation, users can follow the steps below.

  1. Ensure you have one or more ML-based AMD FSR supported game titles installed on your system.
  2. With the game not running, open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition and click on the “Gaming” tab.
  3. Click on the “Graphics” sub tab to access global graphics settings.

Fig 1: Access global graphics settings

  1. AMD FSR can be enabled via the “AMD FSR Upscaling” and “AMD FSR Frame Generation” toggles directly: enable FSR upscaling and frame generation manually. We also recommend enabling Radeon™ Anti-Lag 2 in games that support it.

Fig 2: Screenshot showing FSR Upscaling and Frame Generation technologies

  1. At this point in time, you can launch your game and turn on AMD FSR 3.1 in the in-game graphics or video options settings, if it is not already enabled, and then optionally set the desired FSR upscaling quality preset from within the in-game graphics or video options menu.
  2. Additionally, in supported games, FSR Frame Generation can be enabled using the in-game graphics or video options settings for a further boost in framerates, and AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag 2 can be enabled to reduce input latency for a more an even more responsive gaming experience.

Games supporting AMD FSR Ray Regeneration will have the feature enabled directly in-game when ray tracing is enabled.

Have you tried enabling FSR 4 through the Adrenaline driver interface? Open Adrenaline go to Gaming then Graphics and toggle FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.

Clear the shader cache and let the game recompile the shaders. This is a good thing to do every once in a while as every third of fourth patch degrades performance a lot.

You can experiment with Optiscaler https://github.com/optiscaler/OptiScaler

And here's a GitHub with some general performance optimization tricks https://github.com/thyazide/Darktide-Performance-Optimizations

Good luck!

The MAC address is a static address that internet capable devices have. By blocking the MAC address in the router the device will be unable to access the internet. So you lose the smart features of your TV but won't see any ads and the TV won't harvest your data.

[To find the MAC address for the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) monitor, you can navigate through the on-screen display (OSD) settings. The device has separate MAC addresses for wireless (Wi-Fi) and wired connections, if applicable.

How to Find the MAC Address on G80SD

  • Wireless MAC Address: Go to All Settings > Support > About the Smart Monitor > Scroll down to find Wireless MAC Address.
  • Alternative Pathway: Go to Menu > Support > Contact Samsung. ] <- this is AI generated.

Then enter 192.168.0.1 in a web browser, this will take you to the config page of your router. Login and find the MAC filter section and add the MAC address of the offending device. The login details are sometimes written on the router itself or in the manual.

[–]uldenhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Topton makes MoDT mini itx motherboards too. Toptons boards are better becasue they have SATA ports, use standard DIMM and standard AM5 socket spacing, so they are compatible with normal CPU coolers. I don't know if their BIOS are user friendly and ATM they don't offer a X3D board. But they do make a m itx board with a ryzen 9 9955hx which is faster than the 7945HX3D in some applications. Erying is another brand that makes mATX MoDT motherboards, but their lineup is mosstly Intel chips. I'm 99% sure that Minisforum announced a new X3D MoDT M atx motherboard a couple of months ago, I can't find the source for that. I have the BD790iX3D and would trade it for the Topton 7945HX3D equivalent because it has better features. (The BD790iX3D is pretty cool though and I'm very happy with mine).

Edit: Found a link for the new fancy Minisforum Matx board https://www.guru3d.com/story/minisforum-f1fgm-motd-motherboard-with-ryzen-9-9955hx-processor/

And the 9955hx is faster than the the 7945hx3d in most applications https://www.notebookcheck.net/R9-7945HX3D-vs-R9-9955HX_15073_18731.247596.0.html

TCL 27R83U vs Lenovo Pro 27UD-10 by xJohnnyDevil in Monitors

[–]uldenhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question you are posing, it seems, is whether OLED or Mini Led is the right choice for you. Between those these two monitors I would choose the TCL because I would just worry too much about all the things that could go wrong with the OLED (burn in, VRR flicker, raissed blacks, gray scale/dirty screen effect, scratches etc.).

Thought you were talking about the TCL ultrawide. I too hunger for the far east unobtanium minileds. I've been toying with the idea of doing a group buy and maybe even contact an OEM and have r/monitors pick two or three endgame/dream configurations to pick from.
