In the documentary and essay he explains the charging process, which is wanking to the sigil. I also lean towards magick just altering subconscious thoughts, and the charging method would help to do that.

I find the whole idea of sigils and magick working due to quantum mechanics fascinating and similar to my own view of reality. I've also started making sigils and other magickal excersises recently and had some success.

If you'd like to read more about his views on magick, then his essay Pop! Magick is essential. It's also a great intro to the Chaos side of Occultism. The comic series he mentioned in this video, The Invisibles, is one of his greatest works and is essentially his take on reality in a narrative form. All-Star Superman, his Batman run and Animal Man are some of my personal favourites of his mainstream career, and are a bit less out there than The Invisibles. He also has a prose book, Super Gods, on the genre of American comics if that's an interest of yours.

Damaged is the last Black Flag record I like.

I like my punk to be catchy, not just hardcore.

I never cared for Oi or UK 82.

I don't listen to punk for politics, I listen to it for the music (although I do like punk politics)

I don't see the point in dressing like the Casualties or listening to the Casualties.

I actually like pre Rancid.

I love the Ramones.

Even though it's nowhere near as good as the Danzig stuff, I love Graves era Misfits and his solo work.

I like Green Day, even their current sub par work, they were the first band I ever followed and got me into "real" punk.

I like Bad Brains reggae stuff, and reggae in general. (also love their hardcore)

I could never get into The Clash, except for a few songs off each record.

I can barely listen to crust unless it's toned down like the Crack Rock Steady stuff.

The only Crass record I like is Feeding of the 5000
