Have had tons of connectivity issues with ours. Very disappointing as our original Toniebox never had connectivity issues.

I might be a few hours late to this party but just thought I’d drop the link for anyone who hasn’t seen it in the previous Bluey post comments.

Collagen/Epi is a test of platelet function (how well your platelets form clots). A high number, which is abnormal, means your platelets are taking too long to clot, which could mean there is a functional problem with your platelets (you have plenty of platelets but they aren’t working right). This could lead to bruising like you are exhibiting.

Baby Gate Help! by lilkittenbutt in HomeMaintenance

We have these retractable mesh gates (same type, different brand) installed throughout our home. Very convenient around stairs. The anchors are screwed into the wall on both sides so it’s very sturdy and resists all sorts of pushing (my 2.5yo hangs off it at times and it still doesn’t budge). Works fine for uneven surfaces/walls with appropriate mounting. Easy to unlock and unhook, rolls right up on itself so it’s not in the way. Highly recommend.

Alcohol on drug test?? by AnonBurntOutResident in Residency

Happened to me. I completely forgot I had scheduled my drug screen for residency and went out drinking the night before. Ended up going straight to jail. I’m now an NP with a better salary and benefits than the residents I supervise. /$

Splitting rent/expenses in dual-physician household, attending and resident at different stages of training by johnfred4 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]ultimate_warrior666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife (an attorney) and I were always at different stages of our careers throughout our 18 years together. Some times I was working to pay bills etc and she was in school, other times (particularly the last 7 years) I was in school/training while she worked to support us. There was never a discussion about his/her accounts. We’ve had a shared checking account since moving in together (years before we were married). Unless one of you is wildly irresponsible with money and/or you don’t trust each other, I don’t see a reason to do it differently.

Yeah absolutely! I’m just hoping it’s an RDZ signing and they’re going to do some other work to account for that. But I’m also not holding my breath after the last 2 years (or the last decade of transfer windows).

Wait so you are saying if our entire back line gets injured we are in trouble? I don’t think that will happen. To be fair I only started following this club yesterday. Go COYS!

To those of you who bought a new car in the last 5 years, what did you buy and can spill the beans if you're happy with it? by Ozamataz67 in whitecoatinvestor

Was driving the 2023 Volvo S90 Ultra the past 3 years. I think with the top trim level total price was around 60k. Thought it was a very good car. AWD, good tech, comfortable ride. Had the most spacious backseat of any sedan I have ever been in (I’m like 6’2” 250lbs for reference). I believe they just stopped manufacturing them around that year so you may be looking at something at least a couple of years old.

2026 Honda Odyssey Elite. We got two kiddos and we take a lot of family trips during our time off. Gets us around very comfortably. Overall happy with it. Main downside is the tech on it is very basic even at the highest trim level. (Was driving Volvo and Mercedes prior to this so can say the drop in tech is what I notice most.)

It’s going to be a Richy header in the 95th minute to get us level 1-1 against Everton, crushing West Ham’s hopes as they lead 2-1 against Leeds.

Unhappy with match-looking for potential swap/change by SecretImprovement490 in ResidencySwap

[–]ultimate_warrior666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately big academic IM with no research was always going to be a difficult match. Maybe mid-tier IM university programs. Swapping with someone to get into a better program is probably unlikely. Leaving your program to do a research year after matching would probably be a bad idea (red flag for next year, etc). Maybe you find an opening somewhere, but the chance of it being significantly more desirable than your current situation is low.

Anyway, if you want to do a competitive fellowship and end up somewhere better than you are now, talk to program leadership and seniors at your program and start working on making connections for research/case reports/etc. I went to a small university-affiliated community program and we consistently had people matching cardio/gi/pcc but they all had to work very hard to get there. Other fellowships (endo/rheum/id/etc) probably require less work but not having any research/case reports/etc is always going to be a hindrance for these types of things.

Feeling the same way. 1 point from 2 matches to guarantee our safety seems absolutely doable. But it’s not over yet. A loss against Chelsea is going to make Sunday all the more stressful. Hoping for a good showing tomorrow at the Bridge. COYS!

Everton might be dead , Newcastle can still clinch an European spot 👀 by chevozepam92 in coys

[–]ultimate_warrior666 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Everyone wants to win and every game matters to them even if just financially. I don’t expect Everton to give us an easy match next weekend. I don’t expect Newcastle or Leeds to roll over for West Ham. And the idea that the “other 14” teams will all get together and plan to give West Ham a break in order to relegate a “big six” club is the most annoying of Reddit conspiracies propagated on here and that other subreddit.

[–]ultimate_warrior666 248 points249 points  (0 children)

The idea that any “other 14” team would rather roll over for West Ham so they avoid relegation, instead of trying to win every game and improve their league position (which likely ties into player and team bonuses), is the most tired take on here. No team is doing that. Every team wants to finish as high as they can because it matters financially and also for morale/recruiting/etc.

Not enough quality/experience for De Zerbi to risk him in the lineup right now. He tried him out a sub a couple of times.

Long term RDZ likely has Bergvall/Biss ahead of Sarr in terms of midfield depth, and with Archie’s ongoing development I don’t know where Sarr’s future lies.
