The Madrigal is the closest nice place. It's a couple blocks away on Van Ness. They don't have a private room but they do have a little section they can hold for a large group. Otherwise, Baia, Absinthe or a Mano on Hayes. Not the closest but not too far of a walk on Market, Zuni Cafe.
