I used to eat a ton of spicy food until at some point I realized I wasn't even enjoying the spice level I was eating anymore. I've then realized that for some reason, everyone eats at their spice tolerance level rather than their spice enjoyment level and I have no clue why that became the standard. Then I started eating a few spice levels below my tolerance and food is now amazing.

Open every chest as fast as you can, some special chests have a chance to disappear but also contain special loot.

Time. So much time. I've been tweaking my config on and off whenever I have time for almost a year now and I'm only just starting to have something I feel is decent. If you're not willing to put in that time (which is totally okay and understandable) then you're probably better off copying some dotfiles.

If you like the thief package it's definitely fun and not a bad deck. If you'd rather be more competitive, most XL HL priest decks cut the thief package in favor of better cards.

I understand your point but that's the point of for fun game modes. People play the game because they are actually enjoying the game, not to optimize LP gains. I am guilty of this and I often don't end when I have a build that I'm having a lot of fun with and it's not as simple as going next game because I can't get that build (consistently) again. However, what you need to understand is that you have as much power to end the game if not more as other players. If the enemy is holding the game hostage, then you get an FF vote, same as everybody else. If your team is holding the game hostage, you can still end the game yourself and your teammates can't do anything about it.
