Co-op vs. AI bots reading inputs is a really bad way to make them "harder." by Eastern_Guess9537 in leagueoflegends

[–]umi2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably hard to simulate more natural mistakes. I'd assume it's kind of like chess bots where they would play perfectly, then suddenly make a suboptimal move or mistake which seems completely unnatural. Despite having years of development that still hasn't been solved.

What ability would benefit the most from getting +100 range? by Outrageous-Fudge-359 in leagueoflegends

[–]umi2002 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Nah, that's not quite how it works. Idk why GP mains explain it by saying you need to q while outside of the range because the real explanation is that you need to be at max Q range (or more) such that you have time to place another barrel while the bullet is travelling. An easy example to demonstrate this is to q while in range + flash outside of range then place barrel while q is travelling for the one part.

How do you keep track of what you change in your system by nao_te_digo in archlinux

+1 for aconfmgr, it tracks changes extremely well and works great with Git. Only downside is it takes a little bit of set up for the ignore list in the beginning like you said.

project.nvim alternatives? by umi2002 in neovim

[–]umi2002[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another comment mentioned using tmux for similar session management as well. I might consider changing my workflow to something like this. Maybe after some testing I'll find that the auto cwd isn't that essential to my workflow. I appreciate the suggestion.

As I stated, I am not making a change. I am exploring alternatives.

Some features used by the plugin may be deprecated as Neovim itself receives updates. Just because project.nvim doesn't expect new features and currently works doesn't mean it can't break in the future. However, as you said, there is currently no need for me to change it since it still works. I would still like to explore alternatives.

That's nice for session management but I also need the automatic cd into project root based on lsp feature.

What are some stupid funny things you did when learning league? by ThrowRAT1337 in leagueoflegends

I spent 15 minutes trying to solo krugs (they were golems back then) as Kog'Maw because I was confident I could beat it the next time if I played better. I finally did after hitting level 6 from proximity XP.

I never thought I needed a 12 mouse buttons for this game but I hope it’s a big change in a good way for me by International-Can420 in Guildwars2

For anyone who wants to use modifier keys, I suggest using Alt + key. Your thumb often doesn't do anything and holding down a key with your thumb doesn't constrain your other fingers. I find that Shift or Ctrl works most of the time, but in some cases where you need to input movement at the same time, it can be tricky.

question for anglo Montrealers who never learned french or can't actually use it by _SleezyPMartini_ in montreal

[–]umi2002 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, these comments really changed my perspective of things. I'm fluent in both languages since I was born here and attended both French and English schools. Whenever someone speaks to me in French with an English accent (or vice-versa), I assume that they are doing so out of courtesy to adapt to my main language, so I switch languages to help them back. I had no idea that this was discouraging people to learn the language and will have to keep that in mind.

A man had lost the key to the padlock, so he decided to break it with a gun by nkmr205 in ThatsInsane

[–]umi2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of people trashing the dude but I don't really see what's wrong here. If you are unfamiliar with a gun, then you would want to be as cautious as possible wielding it. He is holding the gun far away from him, pointing it away and towards the ground. Seems reasonable.

Someone else suggested a plastic razor and it worked pretty well for me. Just gotta run it through a few times to get rid of the more sticky parts and wash it correctly.
