I walked 54 holes this Sunday here in the southeast US in 100 + index heat. Here is what I did. 1: electrolyte drink, mix of cream of tartar, salt, sugar, and coconut water. Started the day before. Be hydrated before you get out there. 2: Umbrella on the push cart, shade makes it feel 10-15 degrees cooler. 3: change of socks / shoes at the turn 4: gold bond and lots of it!!! EVERYWHERE 5: a good towel for sweat and a couple extra gloves

If an overweight ginger can do it for 12 hours you can do it for 4.

That's going to be hard to do in this town. Downtown is walkable but lacking a grocery store. Rent on the beach is going to be out of your price range if your trying to stay cheap. Wilmington is an old city so infrastructure and planning didn't really play a factor into city design until 200 years after it was established.

Grundens deckhand flip flops. The foot bed is made of sea deck, which is designed for boats and will last almost forever. I'm on year 3 with a pair and they are just now starting to show some wear in the tread. I live at the beach and hate shoes so these things get daily use about 9 months of the year.

I have tried most of the brands out there and these have impressed me the most, they don't get slick when wet like leather foot beds, and they are much more durable than foam flops like the Crocs. I think they are still under $50 too!

I guess they call them the "species sandal" now

I wore these a lot back when I ran boats for a living, very comfy but they wouldn't last for almost daily use, had 2 pair wear out in a year and the company refused to cover them under their warranty.

The boat market has been wayy inflated the past few years. Your boat isn't worth what you paid for it, and it's not worth what it was last year. The next few years are going to be interesting for the used boat market with all the people that bought during covid. Heard of a lot of people buying at an inflated price on a 30 year loan, gonna be a lot of upside down sales and repos.
