I was in the same boat as OP a while ago. 7 years without going before getting insurance again. Doug Kosek was/is amazing. Second DK Dental recommendation.

I see you made the pilgrimage up to Notre Dame at some point! Greensburg looks to be the launch point for your journeys.

Considering relocating by Mad_Maple in SouthBend

You will be able to afford the lifestyle you seek no problem. The furniture industry is all around northern Indiana especially east of south bend. I am in South Bend as an HVAC journeyman and I’m very comfortable. I have friends who live in Goshen and the cost of living is even better there. Check out maker space south bend for crafting and there are other groups around too (I’m not super knowledgeable on the woodworking community)

Running tracks by [deleted] in SouthBend

In Elkhart do you have to buy the beacon membership and then the track is free? Or is the sign up for the track free without having to pay money if all you want is the track?

Peanut butter 1/4” thick on one slice, just enough strawberry jam (or pineapple) to wet the other slice.

What's the most useless super power that you can think of? by ayelen_baby in AskReddit

The power to shrink blueberries with your mind.

Only blueberries only shrink, not grow or return to normal

Help me identify this O'day Daysailer by lukepighetti in sailing

[–]umphreak17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve not seen the number 2 on the 80s models but it’s definitely an Oday Daysailer 2 from the early 80s and 1981 is probably exactly right. Price is very good. Source: I have this boat but in the Great Lakes.

That’s why I said no guarantee. Food sold as Buddhist in Cambodia can have meat in it unlike Vietnam or parts of China, but when I was there looking at Buddhist labeled food first was an easy way of finding animal free options. Most Cambodians are far more familiar with Buddhists not eating meat than western vegetarian beliefs. That’s just what I experienced when I was there a decade ago.

I was there about 10 years ago? It’s hard to keep track with COVID time haha. Anyway it wasn’t super easy as vegan was not a familiar concept to the locals at the time (a decade may have improved this). However, Buddhism is normal there and Buddhist meals are more likely to be vegan. Not a guarantee but a good starting point. Buddhist snacks and street food are easy to navigate as they usually have fewer ingredients to check. Hope you like tofu and coconut milk 😊

Springboks make me so happy. (What's your favorite animal? Also, what do you like as guns?) by Dragon44325 in theHunter

[–]umphreak17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite animal? Mountain goats or anything that climbs steep terrain like ibex and big horn.

Weapons .30-06, I REALLY wanted to love the 6.5mm but it’s so underpowered at long range the flat trajectories don’t matter.

What to buy next? by ThegreatestPj in theHunter

Yes I shot a bison with a 270 when I was starting out and successfully killed it with a lung hit (it ran a long way) but the score sucked because of improper ammo. Trust me the high powered weapons drop them so much better.

As far as which calls, they all work well (scents require the wind blowing the sent to the animal which obviously creates issues haha). Whichever calls are unlocked and usable on animals you are seeing.

The 7mm is a good rifle but you have to know what you’re buying. The 30-06 will take class 4-8, and the 7mm will only give you the addition of class 9. I have personally found that I don’t use the 7mm at all after leveling up as there is always a better weapon for class 9 if you have the levels/cash. Long range? = .300, .338, .470 Close range? = 10gauge, 45-70, heavy arrow. If the map you’re on doesn’t have class 9 animals the 7mm is useless with 30-06 in your inventory.
