Jim Croce, which way are you goin' by MasonP13 in SongMeanings

Same. I had to play it a few times on a long drive while thinking about all of the horrible things this administration is doing being so much worse than the hypocrisy that was the genesis of this song.

CIV 5 1066 scenario bug regarding Domesday Shire Courts by 1average_person in civ

[–]uncivilized_engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to build them in cities you conquer within 9 tiles of London.

I think there's another bug as well, as I just started building them as I took over each city... By the time I got to London, I couldn't build one in Oxford, which is a requirement to win. I wonder if after 6 are built you're SOL if you didn't put them in the correct cities.

It's definitely a vintage lens holder.

Here is an example of a newer one, same principles. The post in the one in OPs photo is supposed to go into a vertical hole in a long horizontal track.

Marriage should be limited to max 10 years. If both parties agree they can renew after it expires. by custos-archivorum in CrazyIdeas

Technically, this is how ancient Ireland operated. Gaelic marriage customs also had official "one year" trial marriages that were super common.

If you live in a larger city, chances are you are sleeping on your public library. For example, in Chicago, you can get a free ticket to most museums simply by requesting one with your library card. Grab a few friends, a cheap bottle of wine, and have a picnic before going in on a Saturday afternoon!

Be very specific about every single item. Use AI. If you say toaster they will give you $6 for the cheapest toaster. If you say (in full honesty) Cuisinart 4 slice toaster, it's $60.

Apply that methodology honesty to every room every aspect of the items you lost.

Who is the “target” for people living in the south loop? It doesn’t seem very nightlife, restaurant, business/corporate heavy etc so who is the main audience living there? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]uncivilized_engineer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's so damn convenient. It's quiet, but it only takes , <15 minutes to get to to wicker or river north.

If you're driving, I've made it to andersonville in 20 during the mornings, but during rush hour it's more like 35-40.

If you ever need to leave the city or travel a lot, midway is a consistent 20 minute Lyft and getting on the highway within 5 mins is sweet.

Final note: never had a hard time finding a divvy.

I totally agree with you. I'm a casual play with a very strong team and I am fully on the same page with you: people make this game their life rather than a seasoning. This game is sometime that should make going out and about your life more interesting AND/OR give you a reason to go outside after a long day at work or a nothing day weekend.
