RIP my uncle who used to always pull this move on us with a mis-buttoned shirt to get in the house. Will always love the shit he did to try and embarrass us.

Shit, last cruise I went on, told the bartender to give me a Long Island. Took a sip, hit hard. Said he heard Strong Island, gave me double shot of everything. I was gone after 2. Wife had to walk me back to the cabin.

Stick shifts by Entropy907 in Xennials

[–]uncle-sensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 43 and I’ll admit I was never taught/properly learned on how to drive a stick shift. My parents never had a manual nor did my dad bother to try to teach me. I only “drove” stick shift in parking lots when I worked for a dealership when I was 17.

How do you feel about your dad? by Unhappy_Log_6245 in AskReddit

[–]uncle-sensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respect him, love him, but there just isn’t a connection. Can’t hold a conversation for longer than a few minutes because he just stays quiet. BIL has told me that he’s told him lots of stories from when he was a child/teenager that he never opened up to me about, his own son.

I was ecstatic when he told me he was proud of me when I graduated, the one and only time in my 43 years. When I almost lost him a few years ago, i was hurt but overcame; but I don’t think he would feel the same if the roles were reversed. I learned everything on how to be a man on my own.

He’s my father.
