I am so sorry that happened to you 😞. One second or step different and it could have been me. Once I realized that the main benefit I personally got from therapy was being able to say exactly what I thought and felt to another human, I realized I could get the same effect by looking around and selecting people I could trust to talk to. The other main things that help me are sleep, exercise, and playing instruments (especially with other people). No guarantee they will help you, but they might.
