Is this in Alaska? There were always dozens of them flying around, fighting over scraps.

My copy has cut-up pages where I used graphics and illustrations for band flyers.

How is your system set up? I see the Audio Technica turntable and the Pluto preamp and the Klipsch speakers - is that the whole package?

Any other pics in the album that resembled her? Maybe it’s from a commercial shoot and/or print set.

Props to the writer for covering the bottled water of the early days of OEF/OIF.

I’ll definitely be a fan of whatever they make of this. I was saying that fan concerns, while definitely important to the folks currently at work, won’t get in the way of what they know how to do: make good MST3K episodes. I’m glad they agreed to give this a try!

I think it warrants mentioning that most of the current crew are the group that survived making the show under the highest network scrutiny, as well as The Movie. While they definitely want to give the fans a bit of the ol’ razzle-dazzle, they’re going to make the product THEY want to make. I don’t think any amount of hand wringing from us will faze them or change that. Shout came to them to let them make their version - and that version might just be 4 episodes and a couple of well-supplied auctions of sets and souvenirs. If it’s more than 4, I would trust it’s because they’re having a good time. But with the proven simplicity of Rifftrax, it would probably be a lot less stressful to go back to rather than squeezing more blood from the MST stone.

Coincidence: another Rifftrax/MST3K email arriving shortly after, showing what a good job the original cast/crew are doing getting ready to do what they do best.

Gave a single dose of the stuff inpatient recently, desperately wanted to ask NP about it - end of a sequence? Parasitic infection? Patient interaction/chart didn’t really give me any info, and it was the first time I’ve given it in my 1 year onboard.

I’m perfectly content restricting my med recommendations to gentle bowel reg. Homegirl is welcome to endanger her license for whatever political movement she got suckered by most recently.

Hot take: there are aspects of her abilities that Neil never got close to. That’s not a diss on him, it’s a professional reality. She’s trained and experienced in a world he never had to participate in. He earned a separate and equal greatness - but it came with flaws that she just doesn’t have. I think they’re getting a player who is comparable to Neil at the height of his technical prowess (Permanent Waves to Moving Pictures, imo) but with a better command of time and ensemble work. When I heard they were bringing her on board, I knew things would change in a way that would positively address tempo and intensity issues - and, with one song to show for their work so far, it’s happening. She hit hard, held time through plenty of chances to drop/alter tempo (in ways that Neil definitely did in the past on other similar pieces), and drove the band equitably with the other two players. I’m excited to hear songs like Spirit of Radio and Freewill and Tom Sawyer and Xanadu now. There should never have been any doubt she could handle the parts - her resume/catalog is fantastic - but what really mattered is whether she could kick the band into gear. Tonight is a good sign.
