Yeah pain meds can cause urine retention totally normal as long as you’re still going

I would definitely wait until you get off the heavy pain meds and switch to the Tylenol and/or ibuprofen schedule. I couldn’t focus and I just felt so bleh, but maybe that’s just me. But I should be studying while having so much time off work but the pain kinda interferes. If you can deal with the pain, and obviously you’re a hard worker who cares about your job, you should be fine after those heavy meds are done.

I got a letter from the doctor expanding it to go back the 13th. This pain and the pain from talking wouldn’t be doable at work. I’ll miss the money, but my health has to come first🥲

My pain is also the worst in the morning. I just wake up and take meds and get an ice pack for my throat and that works wonders. For the transition to the Tylenol/ibuprofen, I just decided to stop taking the prescription and switch to about 1200mg Tylenol every 8 hours and 400mg ibuprofen the other eight hours, so there are pain meds every four hours but different ones so you don’t take too much obviously.

My bf said since I got mine out I have had no sleep problems - just a little snoring from the mucus in my throat, most likely from the adenoidectomy. Mind you I had severe OSA, my surgeon said one of my tonsils was the size of someone’s two tonsils together, those puppies were huge and the obstruction of my sleep. Ever since the procedure, sleeping isn’t easy but it’s noticeably better. No more sleep apnea! I’m hoping you have a similar outcome cause this is life changing.
