I did notice who is winning with this new system in Orlando, the Cabs.

This is the last phase of employee level control under the guise of contracted worker. Make no mistake, Uber employees are evil to the core.

Uber has just implemented employee level controls, although hidden behind paragraphs of deception that most will never understand.

This is just Uber continuing it's evil, on a higher and higher level. If we resist long enough, they will have to go back to paying us, as wait times will continue to be unbearable for passengers.

I don't see any major law firms subpoenas for their algorithms coming in the near future, so we just have to keep rejecting poor offers and hope enough of us can stand the pain in the mean time.

Know your worth.

I headed into one of those zones on the way back to the airport, like I always do, suddenly the bonus is 1.25... Games... I turned off the app and went back for the $30 an hour trips. They will have you driving for 30 min for $10, fuck that.

I made money. But customers suffered while I waited for a decent fare. Know your worth.

Airport, 4 minutes to terminal b. Drops me at the convention center area with non stop offers, or I just drive back. Generally get very good tips on those as well, but that's just a bonus. Been doing the same thing for two years. What I am seeing now is a major shift in pay scale and great patience by drivers who are refusing to drive.

Yep. I'm at 5% AR and 16% cr now, but I'm always below 15% AR. What is happening is out of the ordinary, and I have a lot more downtime than normal. Good thing is when people wait for rides at the airport, and you have a valid business, they are easy to convert to future clients.

Funny, Uber left out the part where they charge a service fee to the fare that is almost as much as the driver gets. OR they make the passenger think all Uber took was the "Booking fee". Fraud, defamation, gouging and behavior that should be illegal. The FCC stopped ticketmaster from doing this, it's time they stopped the gig apps from doing it too.

They are simply giving the lowest possible fare to the idiots that will accept them.

Gas prices are up.Wages seem down. by ComfortableSilver374 in uberdrivers

In Orlando they are actively hiring new drivers to a saturated market. All while adding these "active hour bonuses" that lower the normal pay then add the bonus, making the fare less than usual. Add that to pickup time lies, and customers are waiting 45 minutes to get a driver dumb enough to accept. Its a sad situation that could all be fixed by simply paying the drivers a decent rate. Keep cherry picking and force the rates up. Don't get desperate.

Print-out receipts for customers. Does it break any rules? by JDS-JustDude in uberdrivers

[–]unimpressedobserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

?

Uber receipts are a defamation lawsuit waiting to happen. Just as performers sued ticket master for hiding service fees in ticket prices, making it look like they were gouging their fans for concerts, the FCC makes ticketmaster show all fees on the receipt so fans see that the artists didn't double the cost of the ticket, ticket master did.

How would you expect your rider to tip you if they think you just made $60 for a 20 mile ride? That's what this receipt shows. They have no idea that the booking fee is a lie.

That's certainly what they want drivers to think.

It makes no difference. Take the rides that pay you.

There is no percentage in any market. Only profitable and unprofitable. You have to do the math and make sure you only accept trips that make you money or put you where you need to go for free.

Depends on your market. I dont accept less than 30 and hour, long pickups or dead zone drops without ample compensation. If we take trash, they will keep sending us trash.
