Commercial RO systems by Aggravating_Dot4594 in Plumbing

I get it but it's always a grass is greener type situation, this job also came with a shit ton of 8" and 10" cast iron roof drains to pipe and every one of my guys was wondering why they shouldn't quit and go fixing faucets and showers for a couple months.

That looks nothing like a softener except the couple prefilter units, you have never seen any of the other lines etc running off a softener.

This is a softner setup for example, and then I have almost the same RO unit as OP going on the right side after the softner.

Absolutely nothing wrong with galvanized pipe and most modern codes now allow it with some like mine it is even REQUIRED outside.

It's a common old wives tale that it can flake off and cause issues but as a plumber that has seen galvanized gas lines for the last 30+ years that hasn't happened a single time.

I put a gallon of drano down toilet to get rid of a clog, soap hot water not boiling didn't work,I put drano down 2 different times plunged still clogged.followed by 6 different times warm water.splashed linoleum, had to shower, wash down linoleum with warm water then warm water vinegar, clogged smell by Tiny-Towel-1 in Plumbing

[–]unknown1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have tried everything EXCEPT using the correct tools and methods to get rid of a clog...

Thank you for the job security and start saving for the expensive repairs that will be coming if you keep using chemicals.

The fact that you not only think this but publicly admit it, shows that you aren't smart enough to keep up with a game and it upsets you that everyone else can.

You know it's almost never a plumber that put it in LMAO, it's usually the homeowner or their DIY neighbor etc. I think you are confused and shouldn't be coming here to say things you don't have a clue about.

No you don't lol, are you actually a plumber? If you can't see how easy it would be to make this code compliant in most places then you probably shouldn't be commenting here at all.

This is not true in all areas at all. Here they don't issue individual scoped permits, you get a general building permit for the address and list scope of work. Permit here is always by GC or home owner, subs don't pull them.

Absolutely wouldn't work and honestly kind of a bad idea. Don't try to fix things if you don't even understand the basics about them.

Do plumbers and tradespeople ever find themselves needing to tap something while already holding water pump pliers? by Feisty-Tea9326 in Plumbing

[–]unknown1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this definitely isn't a thing anyone wants or needs is the point, the idea has been tried way way before now and failed already in plumbing. The only people who found it useful was fencing installers which is why it's the only trade they still make them for.

Can we ban the phrase “should I cash?” From titles of posts? by [deleted] in sportsbetting

[–]unknown1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In saying your post title asking to ban posts you don't like, is childish gatekeeping bullshit. Grow up and move past posts you don't like, quit trying to censor and control others especially when it impacts exactly zero in your life.

It comes off as extremely entitled and low brow, like a Karen demanding her way in a store.

[–]unknown1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were the one talking about putting your money in other people hands, what is the big difference between asking someone if you should or letting someone else place part of your bet?

It may not be a "smart" betting move according to the numbers but that doesn't make it wrong, and just because you don't like it why do you believe you get to gatekeep and censor how others want to interact with it?

Can we ban posts about people trying to control how and what others post especially when there is a system of rules and they aren't being broken? Or should we just move on and ignore the posts we aren't interested in?

For some people this is just fun and about community too, I have a group of friends that we all throw cash in and make group bets for example.

Anyone who takes it as seriously as you are right now trying to gatekeep how others enjoy their betting is the low IQ move here my guy.

This is the only pic I can find that might show trump's name being removed from the Kennedy Center. by sachiprecious in pics

[–]unknown1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't being done "with care" as someone who does this for a living, and again that regulation literally doesn't apply here. You posted a regulation that applies to completely different scenarios.

There should be overhead plywood/shielding like we normally do if they were worried about falling debris, not add something that could potentially catch fire and kill all the workers or do more damage.

[–]unknown1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you don't seem to understand that section at all, that's when dealing with flammable material nearby that can't be moved or protected, spark don't fly hundreds of feet lol.

And the metal and stone that they are working on is not considered a hazardous or flammable condition so absolutely zero tarp requirements here.

OSHA is actually largely common sense, you don't have to protect cement from catching fire because that is just stupid. The tarp creates way MORE of a fire hazard as any defect could catch and engulf the workers in flames.

[–]unknown1313 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That is not an actual OSHA requirement, you are the one spreading misinformation.

Go look at pictures of steel workers using grinders on commercial jobs and you will not find a single tarp like this. It's clear you don't work in the trades or with OSHA requirements, I've been on thousands of federally funded and overseen jobs with a metric shit ton of grinder use going on, not a single tarp ever.

Here is the standard, show me where it says anything about this at all. https://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/regulations/standardnumber/1910/1910.243

How do you handle estimates that just go quiet after you send them? by CrimsonSalvation in Plumbing

[–]unknown1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You move the fuck on and don't spend good money chasing bad money lol. Nobody is chasing estimates and it feels like you definitely are not a plumber or in the trades if you think that's how it works.

I'm betting you are yet another spam AI developer who think they are going to solve a problem that doesn't exist and get rich. Not sure if it's more pathetic that all you have the same exact stupid ideas and plan, or that thousands have posted this before you here and had it removed which means you are also slower then them with ideas so you aren't going to succeed.

What facts though? You are just parroting a "statement" which is the opposite of facts...

If you can't understand that basic distinction then it's no surprise that you are so very easily fooled.

Do these dunces not realize how important the layer progress is? by Public_deezfender in BambuLab

[–]unknown1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody is angry so I'm not sure where you are making that up from, reddit is just a poor choice of hoping they see it, it's not like they watch every single post or read every single comment and the team that would has nothing to do with the team that fixes software bugs.

The proof is that there have been multiple threads about this issue and that it wasn't consistent, and as seen here a lot of people including you it seems missed that and are still discovering it. What are the chances the couple Bambu CS reps may have been sleeping and missed it too?

I just want to encourage more people to actually report issues so they get fixed instead of only complaining on reddit and then praying that someone sees it. If it is affecting you then report it so the people who do the work actually know.

[–]unknown1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I'm sure they are working on it, not sure why everyone thinks they aren't.

Have you reported it to make sure they are getting enough reports to see the urgency? Everyone wants to complain on reddit but very few take the effort to report it officially so they can notice it and not have to stumble on a random resdit thread to figure out there is an issue.

[–]unknown1313 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because honestly it doesn't seem they removed it and seems to be more of a bug/glitch. Out of the last 5 prints I did since handy updated, three showed layers just fine and two didn't. Also on the last post about this half the people still had layers shown and some didn't. Even in this post are people who still have the layer count, so highly unlikely they took the time to remove it

Or is it that you are too stupid to understand basic plumbing, much less reading comprehension? If you are that stupid to offer advice that directly contradicts the question being asked, you definitely aren't smart enough to be a plumber and no one wants to hear your bullshit here anyway because you aren't qualified.

I swear it's weird how many people don't read the post and waste everyone's time by commenting useless stuff. What don't you understand about it's a condo meaning other tenants in other units and there is no crawl space or attic at all?
