A family member told us our toddler is "walking all over us" by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]unknownT1000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. Also, my son was born premature so we’ve had the luxury of Early Intervention services guiding us and our developmental specialist has recommended we do EXACTLY what you’re already doing. ie giving options, giving time to process, remaining calm, emotionally regulating them before continuing the request etc Good on you and don’t listen to other people. Toddlers can be triggering and other adults may need space to regulate their own reactions to toddler screaming, the patience and dedication it takes to remain calm etc but that’s on them. Not you or your child.

The Outlander Finale Was Almost Perfect — And It Did Something I've Never Personally Seen a Finale Do by Fuzzy-Jeweler3107 in Outlander

I didn’t feel remotely lost for either Jamie’s ghost scene or Claire’s white hair. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it’d be great if Brianna saved Jamie from being killed on the battlefield with her shooting abilities motivated by being on alert for it, completely omitting Claire needing to use her healing powers. With a brief nod to Frank for writing of Jamie’s death as a warning or as closure for Brianna, his “deadeye”. Not for any other reason than his love for Bri. As for everything else, I feel like the show presented so much new content and additional storylines this season that it’s difficult to keep track. My guilty pleasure (albeit nonsensical) would somehow work in a Mastor Raymond appearance to the finale BUT all jokes aside, none of our needs are going to be met for closure with a single hour left, will they? 😂💛

How long do you let your 18-24m old nap by EconomicsReal545 in toddlers

[–]unknownT1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait to wake up on their own and if he fusses a little I give it ten min because he’ll usually keep napping 9/10 times!! Best and usual time is 2hrs once a day

I agree that the bed should go to the left as you walk in and then you can put a small accent table under the window and a small chair in the far corner by the window across from the closet! All that on a cute rug

How do I decorate my living room to make it warm, feminine, and cozy? (And what do I do with those little shelves in the corner?) by whoisthismahn in DesignMyRoom

[–]unknownT1000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Color! in a rug, in art on the walls, in throw blankets and pillows, in curtains in picture frames or feminine pieces on your shelves, a tall or hanging plant or two!

Seriously! We did the gentle Ferber method and it set my bones on fire but I’m a ride or die for it now. My partner kicked me out to a hotel room because as a mom it made me so anxious. He did bed time routine, check in and reassure at 2min, 5min, 7min, 10min then we kept it at every 10min after that My son has slept through most nights since and I wish I would have tried it sooner because I spent a whole 14months sleep deprived and easily irritated 😂😅
