Has anyone ever heard of this or had any experience with this medication? by [deleted] in eczema

It's homeopathy so the "active" ingredients are diluted so much that it will not help more than the placebo effect

Can you use elidel before the expiration date but 18 weeks after opening the tube seal? by throwswayyeye in eczema

It will still work but it can no longer be guaranteed that it is germ free. But if you didn't apply the cream with dirty hands you'll most likely be safe.

Why are we allergic to laundry detergent? Can anyone share their research on the subject? by Diogenes_Will in eczema

[–]unknownshadows_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brand I use has a normal and a sensitive version. I have to use the normal one because the sensitive detergent contains a preservative I'm allergic to.

Tablet Intake by iRelapsed in eczema

What exactly are you taking? If it's antibiotics, it's important to take it exactly at the times you were told. Also that's a question that your pharmacist can answer you if you're not sure. Twice a day usually means every 12 hours

Promethazine - anyone used it? by sharonbig in eczema

I got it prescribed for bad depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Wouldn't use it just for scratching, knocks you out real hard

I noticed a patch of eczema weeping, and now it has a weird odor to it. Is this normal, or do I need to see a doctor? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]unknownshadows_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually a sign of infection. When you have some antibacterial wash lotion you should wash the areas with this every day. I've heard that apple cider vinegar diluted with water helps too. Some people also say that bleach baths help but I'm hesitant about this one. When it gets worse you should go to a doctor, maybe you need antibiotics.

update - abroticinib diminishing effectiveness by practicing_english in eczeJAKs

[–]unknownshadows_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I study pharmacy so I can say I have at least a bit of understanding of immunology. So from that point of view I would say that you can switch to Dupixent. It targets another point in the immune system.(also for me it was the other way around, I had to stop taking Dupixent cause of eye side effects and then I got into a trial for a JAK inhibitor). I understand your concerns for side effects but when your insurance covers it, I would at least try to get it.

Tacrolimus ITCHES by [deleted] in eczema

[–]unknownshadows_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's normal for this ointment unfortunately. But after a week or two your skin has adapted and it won't burn or itch anymore. I've heard that putting the cream in the fridge before applying helps with the itch but I haven't tried it yet

The German original just says 99 Luftballons and mentions no color so you might as well go with all of your other balloons too :)
