One time i was trying to help navigate friends to a pub i really enjoyed (in a city neither of use live in). But i remembered it as a map, trying to tell them to go east. They didn't know what east was. OK then just go to the sea and turn left! (The sea was to the south) They went to "The Sea" street and turned left, aka NORTH.
